9 months.

I've been dying for the past 9 months.

Well not actually dying but hell it sure felt like it. Carrying a baby was a kind of shit. I mean you would think the little bundle of joy that was supposed to pop out of me in a few days would be somewhat tolerable but god damn this kid was rough.

"Hey babe," a quiet voice said, poking me gently at the side. I looked up only to see Ashton standing, looking over me with a smile.

"What is it Irwin," I snapped. It was the hormones I swear.

"I have a show tonight," he said slowly, looking down at me, "and I was wondering if you wanted to come? Like not in the crowd or anything just in the dressing room. That way if you need anything I can be right there."

"Ash that's sweet but," I groaned, looking down at my ever growing stomach, "I don't think I can move."

"Come on Beth the baby is supposed to come any day now and it's our last show of the tour and I just want you to be there. There is a little tv monitor so you will be able to see us and you'll have one of our security guards there if you need anything," he begged, kneeling so he was nearly the same height as me.

"Fine," I groaned once more, "but if we're preparing for this baby to come soon you better bring the bags."

"Of course," he smiled, kissing my forehead lightly before sprinting over to the door and grabbing our bags, "You ready?"

"Now Ash," I groaned, "Come on I look like shit."

"No you look beautiful and besides no one will see you besides the boys and they've seen you in some pretty low points in your life," he said sweetly, his smile never wavering.

"Can you at least grab me a presentable t shirt," I asked, glaring at the ratty old one that hugged my bulging frame tightly, "or actually grab my flannel."

He nodded obediently and grabbed my favorite blue flannel and hustled back out, throwing it at me. I ripped off my t shirt and placed the flannel around me, buttoning it up so it looked someone decent.

"You ready," he asked, holding out his hand to help me up.

"Ready," I nodded in return before taking his hand and standing up. I waddled towards the door and Ashton helped me down to the elevator and then out the door of the hotel and into a car.

"Hey Beth," Calum called as I stepped into the passengers seat.

"Hey Cal," I said with a sigh as I sat down, enjoying the feeling of not having to move any more.

"Hey Luke can you help me get our bags," Ashton asked to which Luke nodded and climbed out to go help him.

The boys got the bags quickly before piling into the car. Ashton, of course, checked to make sure I was okay multiple times. Usually the boys called him whipped and laughed loudly every time he did that, but they stopped that after month 5. You don't mess with a pregnant women.

"Okay boys we're here," the driver said, causing the boys to quickly leave the car. Ashton helped me down and shielded me from the few fans that waited patiently by the door.

"Sorry girls," Ashton called, as the others went to meet fans, "Can't meet you right now. Got this one to take care of."

"I love you Ash," one of the girls called shyly.

"Love you too," he answered before nearly pushing me inside and down a hallway to the dressing room. We were there for only a few minutes before they had to head out for soundcheck.

"Bye babe," Ash called as he left the room before adding, "Don't forget to call me if you need anything. Even if I'm in the middle of a show. The boys can do some acoustic shit or something okay? Just call me."

"Good luck," I called as he left the room, sighing contently.

It was now halfway through the show and I was getting a bit antsy. They were playing my favorite song, Close As Strangers, and I couldn't stop myself from smiling. Still had to pee though.

"Hey Sam," I said, looking to the security guard. Before I could ask if I could use the restroom I suddenly felt a gush of water between my legs. That was definitely not pee.

"Are you okay," he asked hurriedly, running over to me.

"GET ASHTON," I shouted loudly, my breaths coming out short and heavy. I watched as Sam sped out of the room and hustled onto the stage. I could see in the little monitor Sam speak hurriedly to Ash. Ash quickly stood up, stopping the song completely.

"Look guys I'm sorry but my fiancé just went into labor and I really need to go," he said quickly before adding, "the boys will continue playing you some great songs so don't get to sad."

"Ash we're coming with," Michael said, already taking off his guitar.

"Just meet me there after the show okay," he said quickly before racing off stage and, hopefully, rushing to me.

"You okay," he asked quickly. I shook my head no and began to do the breathing exercises that I learned in class.

"Let's go babe," he said quickly, helping me from my chair, "Let's go have a baby."

We had a beautiful baby girl. Her name was Rose and god damn she was the most beautiful girl in the world. The boys came later, saying they had only played two more songs instead of the 5 they had planned. Ashton couldn't even argue with them because he was too happy. I could see it in his eyes.

It was late at night now. I was laying in bed, cradling our beautiful angel in my arms. Ash was sitting in a chair next to me, smiling at the two of us.

"I love you," he said suddenly, smiling intensely.

"I love you too," I replied back.

9 months is a long and painful time for a pregnant women but as I looked at the beautiful angel in my arms, I wouldn't change a second of it.
