"You'll get over it" Lily says as she places her hand on my shoulder. "You can and you will" She adds. "Wait did you actually break up?" She asks. "Uh Yeah, yeah" I reply. "Well I said we should stay away from each other so yeah I broke up with him" I say, it feels weird saying it out loud. "There's a basketball match Monday isn't there?" I ask and Lily nods. "I can't be bothered to cheerlead" I say as I lay down on my bed. "It might be good for you! You know to get your mind of stuff!" Lily says and I look at her. "Look Vi, I know breakups are hard and horrible but you can get over it! Shawn isn't good for you anymore! Okay he might of been in the past but now? No he isn't! And you need to get up from your bed and carry on with your life, you are better than this" Lily says and I listen to her, she's right.
Monday arrives and I get up and get ready like normal, well I didn't tie my hair up at normal, I had a low pony tail but i will not let this get to me.
I walked into school and the first person I saw was Shawn.
I don't look at him any longer and I keep walking eventually walking passed him. Shawn's hair wasn't tidy as all, it looked messy like he hadn't taken a second out of his time to fix it. His face looked pale and that only brought out the dark circles underneath his eyes, his eyes were bloodshot and he looked tired, he looks like he's lived a hundred years of misery. I get to my locker and I open it and take out the books I need. "Shawn's terrible" Lily says as she stands next to me. "What Shawn did was terrible" I snap back. "You guys have to make up!" She says. "You don't even look sad" she adds as she looks at me. "I just want to survive today" I say looking at her as I hold back my tears. "This isn't how it's suppose to end" Lily says with sadness in her eyes.
