Adrenaline pushes through my body. It sinks in that my best friend has just punched me. Shawn has just punched me. I look at him and throw a punch back and Lily screams. I tackle Shawn to the floor as we let our anger out. "Stop!! Please!!" Lily pleas as she pulls me off. "It's not worth it the pair of you! And what's it's over? A girl? A god damn girl? She's also your friend! You're both also friends and have been since you were four! Grow up and sort it out like adults and not by throwing punches!" Lily yells as she stands in between us. "Sometimes actions speak louder than words, Violet is crying because you embarrassed her by making this public, it's childish. She's only trying to be civil with you and all you can do is flirt with your friend who also happens to be her friend, I can't blame her for being mad" I say as I turn away to leave but I stop. "You've changed Shawn" I add and then I leave.
SHAWNS POV:
I stand there in shock of what just happened. I look around me and try to soak in everything. I leave as quickly as possible, not caring what my face looks like. I pass Violet and she looks at me with this look. A look of anger but with a hint of sadness. "Nice face Shawn" Cheryl says as she sits next to me at lunch. "Go away" I snap. "Don't lie, you want me here and I know you want revenge on Violet" She says trying to manipulate me. "I don't. I'm not petty and that sounds pathetic by the way" I say as I look at her and she's already looking. She looks at my lips then back at my eyes. "You need a friend, a new friend. I'm guessing your free later, I'll pop round yours". She says as she gets up. "How do you know where I live?" I ask smiling a little bit. "Everyone knows where everyone lives, and I know a lot about people Shawn" She says before turning around with sass.
