"Remember I mentioned about my parents cabin? You know for our anniversary but we didn't get to actually go there" Shawn says as I feel him blushing. "Yeah" I say smiling. "Well I think we should go there next weekend, you know celebrate?" He asks and I instantly feel butterflies in my stomach. I look up at him and he smiles back at me, sorta a cheeky smile. "I'd love that" I say as I peck his lips, I love kissing him.
After a calm day with Shawn with us walking around town I return home and my mum is cooking. "Mum" I say as I walk over to her and she looks up and smiles. "Breakfast this morning, what the fuck was that?" I ask and her eyebrows rise as I've never sworn in front of my mum, it felt good though. "Violet, language and what are you talking about? I thought breakfast was lovely" She says as she continues to prepare dinner. "For you. It was awkward especially with you bringing up me and Shawn's past and saying stuff about me and Grayson" I say looking at my mum dead in the eye. "Well I'm sorry if I caused any awkwardness I was just making conversation and I care about you and Shawn" she says as she puts the knife down that she cutting the peppers with. "What do you mean?" I ask taken back. "I care about who you date and I just wished you would tell me more" She says and she sounds and looks serious about what she's talking about. "I'm confused how does this have anything to do with breakfast this morning?" I ask confused. "It doesn't I just want to let you know you can tell me stuff, anything" She says as she holds my hand. "I just want to ask you a question" She says and I can tell she feels slightly bad asking what ever she's going to ask. "Are you and Shawn using protection" did she just ask me that? Did she seriously ask me that??? "uh why?" I ask. "I'm just asking as a concerned mother, I want to make sure my daughter is being safe" She reply's back. "And What makes you think me and Shawn are having sex?!" Okay so that does sound stupid I mean she must know. "Violet I don't think you and Shawn just went asleep last night" she says which is true, honestly I expected that response. "Mum, me and Shawn are being safe I promise you, I wouldn't do anything if it could lead to a pregnancy or god knows anything else" I say reassuring her. "And I'm sorry for being rude, you was just looking out for me" I say as I hug her, she's just looking out for me.
