It's humiliating. I walk out the hall and go outside, I need fresh air.
"Look Violet - "
"Don't talk to me!" I say as tears stream down my face. "You done that to me? I can't believe you! After all that you have the decency to then have sex with me?! I'm your girlfriend! Not Rebecca!"'I yell crying. I take a moment to call down.
"Look it didn't mean anything -"
"God that just makes it worse!" I say as I try to hold back my tears. Shawn steps back for a moment and looks at me as he holds back his tears too.
"You know, you've been weird with me too" Shawn says and I roll my eyes.
"Yeah because you was! How do you think I felt? You know you think that I'm hiding things and keeping secrets, it's because you are" I say. "How long are we gonna keep on pushing each other away?" I add.
We both don't say anything for a while.
"Maybe, we just need to stay away from each other for a while?" I say quietly but loud enough so he can hear.
"For how long?!" He asks desperately. "I don't know" I reply not looking at him. "Just until we work this out and we need distance, some time apart" I say. "We will work this out, we will and we can" I say as I wipe a tear away.
"No, no please, we love each other, I love you" he says as tears stream down his face. "You can't really blame me? Can you?" I reply. Shawn looks into my eyes but I don't look at him directly, he goes in for a hug but I step away. He gives me one last look before walking back into the prom.
