Lalo akong hindi nakapag-salita.

Hinila niya ako at niyakap.

Jairus’ POV
“Aren’t you drinking too much?” I looked at Keziah who was sitting next to me.
Kanina pa nagsimula ang party at kanina pa rin ako umiinom dito sa counter pero parang hindi ako tinatablan.
“I guess this is how it feels.” I smiled bitterly. It hurts and I don’t know how to deal with it.
We had a little confrontation a while ago.
I saw everything.
Bago magsimula ang party ay sinabihan ko si Taehyung na mag-usap kami. Sa lugar kung saan walang ibang tao kundi kaming dalawa lang.
Pagdating namin sa part ng beach kung saan maraming puno ay sinapak ko siya. Alam kong hindi niya inaasahan yun.
“Punch me to death if that’s what I deserve hyung.” Nakuha pa niyang ngumiti. Nagkamali ako, inasahan niya na pala ang gagawin ko sadyang hindi lang siya umiwas.
Hindi muna ako nag-salita o kumilos. Think Jairus. Think.
“I warned you before Taehyung.” Sabi ko sa kanya. Pinaalalahanan ko siya pero hindi siya nakinig.
“But that’s too late, hyung.”
Nagulat din ako nung araw na gumawa siya ng eksena sa mall at nadamay si Yesh. Hindi ko in-expect na sa dami ng tao dun ay si Yesh pa ang mapipili niya.
Sinabi niya sa'kin na palabas lang ang lahat at nakipag-deal siya kay Yesh na magiging sila sa loob ng 3 months. Hindi ko alam kung paano niya ito napapayag.
Ako ang nagsabi sa kanya ng mga bagay na dapat niyang malaman. Matagal na akong may gusto kay Yesh, simula pa nung unang beses na nakita ko siya.
I warned him na wag na wag niyang mamahalin si Yesh. Wag na wag niya itong paiibigin kundi ako ang makakalaban niya. Pero sinong ginago ko? Alam ko naman na kahit hindi sadyain ni Taehyung ay malaki ang possibility na ma-fall sa kanya si Yesh.
“I’ve tried to stop this strange feeling, hyung. But I can’t. It’s too powerful that I can’t do anything about it. But atleast I’ve tried.” Sabi niya.
I know. Hindi mo naman pwedeng pigilan ang puso mong magka-gusto sa isang tao. When the heart decides, you can’t do anything but to go with it.
“Don’t be selfish, Taehyung.” I know in the end everyone will get hurt if he won’t stop right now.
“Can’t I be selfish just this once? I want to be happy. I want to know how it feels to be in love.”
“You can’t. You’ll only end up hurting her and yourself. Do you want to leave her with a broken heart? Isn't it the reason why you decided to hide your feelings for Keziah? Because you don't want to hurt the one you love. That's why you started your stupid deal."
Hindi siya nakapag-salita agad. Halatang napa-isip siya sa sinabi ko.
He shook his head.
“I don’t want to hurt her.”
Magsasalita sana ako pero naunahan niya ako.
“But if breaking her heart is the only consequence for my happiness.” He paused. “I’m still going to take the risk.”
Hindi ko napigilan at sinuntok ko ulit siya. Asshole!
“I’m selfish, hyung. I want to be happy. Even though I know she’ll only get hurt.”
“Do you want her to despise you after your stupid deal?!”
“That’s better. So she can forget me easily.” He tapped my shoulder and walked away.
“Oppa, can we also have a deal?” The question brought me back to reality.
Tinignan ko siya nang nakakunot ang noo.
“I’ve heard you with Calix.” Sabi niya habang iniikot ang baso ng alak sa kamay niya. Lasing na siya.
“So, he’s falling for her. And you” tinuro niya ako at halos dumikit na sa labi ko ang daliri niya dahil sa kalasingan niya, “you also like Ayesha. Isn’t it great?” pumalakpak siya pero may halong sarcasm.
“My bestfriend slash love of my life likes her. And now I’m only left with my fiancé who happened to like her also. Cool! Can I just be that girl? I thought I had everything every girl could wish for, until she came. She took everything that I wanted to have.”
“I’m Keziah Lee, and I lost to some Ayesha Middleton. Great!” sinubsob niya ang mukha sa table.
“Keziah.” Inayos ko siya sa pagkaka-upo.
“Let’s have a deal, oppa. Love me and I’ll love you back.” She said before she passed out.
