Without Him

In District 4...

Rain was pounding on the roof loudly as Daesung, Chan, N, Ravi and Leo had gathered in the main area of the council building. Chan paced back and forth, trying to think of what to do.

"I need to go back to District 9" Chan sighed, "Wonho would be able to sniff them out"

"You don't even have an idea of where they could possibly be, nor where to start looking" N sighed.

"Wonho is a werewolf, hell be able to catch their scent easily" Chan spoke as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"Let's not forget that Felix is pregnant with fucking twins, and if he's put under any kind of stress, it will lead to a miscarriage" Ravi sighed.

Daesung's cat ears and cat tail were showing because he was stressed and scared for his now close friend, his ears flat against his skull as he whimpered.

"Let's just get him back" Daesung pouted.

"Them back Dae, Seungmin, Changbin and Hyunjin are with them too" Chan frowned, "fuck, now I'm worried that bitch is gonna kill Changbin"

"She could kill Felix too" Leo growled, "or are you not worried about your Mates life huh?"

"No, she won't kill him. She can fucking control him; she needs him alive, I fucking know she does" Chan growled, growing more and more angry as time went on.

"None of this fighting is gonna bring them back any time soon" Ravi sighed in irritation, "Chan, I think Wonho might already be looking for them at this point"

"Actually, he isn't" the familiar voice of Jooheon spoke up from the council building door.

"Jooheon, what the hell are you doing here?" Chan had whipped around, glaring at Jooheon.

"I came here to tell you that Wonho gave up the search. Yes, he followed Seungmin, Changbin and Hyunjin's scent, but he lost it somewhere in District 8's forest. I think they covered their tracks, and they did a pretty damn good job because Wonho couldn't pick up their scent after that" Jooheon frowned.

"Then we scour ever inch of that fucking forest" Chan had fully turned around to face Jooheon.

"Chan, that would take weeks, months to search that entire forest. It's fucking massive and way too easy to get lost in if you don't know it" Jooheon huffed.

Chan growled lowly, storming over to Jooheon and grabbed him by the throat, lifting him so they were eye level. Jooheon's expression was set in a snarl, but before he could even get a word out, Chan spoke.

"They took my Mate. They're trying to tear apart my family, and you just want to give up!? If they had taken Minhyuk, you would jump at the first chance to find him wouldn't you?" Chan frowned out, but Jooheon said nothing, "ANSWER ME!"

"Y-Yes, I would" Jooheon struggled to get the words out.

"Then I need to do everything I can to find them!" Chan exclaimed, but his voice was cracking as tears welled up in his eyes.

After a few moments, Chan let go of Jooheon, sending the older male crumbling to the ground. Jooheon fell on his knees, wincing at the pain. Chan bent his head down as he kneeled in front of Jooheon, his hair falling over his eyes and hiding the stream of tears that fell to the floor.

"I...I need him Jooheon. I can't live without him" Chan lifted his head, Jooheon looking straight into Chan's tearful eyes, "he's carrying my children Jooheon, I can't....I can't let them take my children or my Mate away. We have to find them" Chan whimpered, his heart clenching painfully, "please....please, just help me find them, or at least try to" Chan begged softly.

Jooheon didn't think twice as he nodded his head, his eyes sympathetic.

"We'll try Chan, I promise" Jooheon spoke softly.

"Really?" Chan sounded so vulnerable, and it shocked Jooheon.

He'd never once in the whole time he's known Chan seen the Ghoul like this. He looked broken and desperate, but who could blame him? He was once again separated from his Mate, his now very pregnant Mate, and it hurt him so much.

"I'm sorry" they heard Daesung mutter sadly, "this is my fault. I-I couldn't protect him"

"It's not your fault Dae" Chan spoke as he turned his head to the side and glanced at Daesung, "it's my fault. I should've gone out with him, I should have protected him..." Chan turned away from Daesung, once again staring at the ground, "oh Lix...I'm sorry" he mumbled.

Chan broke down into tears after that, his hands over his eyes as he sobbed loudly, the sound heartbreaking to everyone in the room. Jooheon wrapped his arms around Chan in a comforting hug, his expression sad but no tears fell.

They all hoped that Seungmin, Hyunjin, Changbin, Felix and the babies would be okay...

Meh, this chapter's okay I guess 🙄 IDK...
