"Harap."

I turned to face him. "Huh?"

"Harap ka sa'kin," he repeated.

I didn't move, so he walked over and positioned me to face him.

"Gagamutin lang natin 'yan..." He pointed at my cheek and the area near my forehead. "...at 'yan."

I pouted and waited for him to do what he said. I touched the cuts he pointed at and winced from the sting. I hadn't even noticed I had these injuries.

He pulled something out of his bag, and when he showed it to me, I saw an alcohol and cotton ball. I swallowed nervously.

"Boyscout lang, uh?" I grinned.

He didn't respond and started applying the alcohol to my wounds. Even though he was doing it gently, I still winced from the pain.

"Pucha! Mahapdi! Dahan-dahan naman!" I hissed.

"Malamang, mahapdi dahil alcohol. Magtaka ka kung hindi," he replied, his tone calm.

I shot him a look. He was so serious about it, and I couldn't help but roll my eyes. Galing mamilosopo, tsss.

I gritted my teeth, enduring the sting, until he finally placed a band-aid on the cut. I couldn't help but laugh at the design on it. Domo. Seriously? Si Nerd? Mahilig sa Domo?

"Bakit mo ba ginawa 'yun?" he asked after a moment.

I furrowed my brow. "Yung alin?"

"Ang pakikipag-away?" He looked at me directly.

I shook my head in disbelief. "Wala ka nga palang kaalam-alam tungkol saakin. Sa dinami-dami ng kalokohan kong ginawa sa school na 'to. That was just a small part of it."

"You mean..."

"I'm a delinquent. What do you expect?" I shrugged.

He shook his head and let out a small laugh. "You say it like you're proud of it."

"I'm just being honest." I stared at the field. "Hindi ka ba papasok?"

"Absent ang teacher natin sa Math. Di ka nakikinig sa sinabi niya kanina."

I shrugged. "Baka tulog ako." I heard him hiss at my response.

"Sabay na tayo mamaya."

I looked at him in disbelief and laughed. "You're seriously kidding me." He furrowed his brows, and I laughed harder. "After what I did, you think I have the guts to go to class? Ayoko nga! Papatawag lang ako ni Principal."

"But you need to face your punishment, delinquent. You made a mess, so you have to face the consequences."

My laughter stopped. I faced him. This guy doesn't know what he's talking about.

"Exactly. That's why I won't go. It's pointless. I'm getting expelled anyway after this."

"What?"

"You heard me."

"Wait..." He adjusted his glasses and faced me again. "It wasn't you who initiated the fight, right? Don't you think you could say that?"

I shook my head. "Not as easy as you think. I'm not often believed, so I won't be surprised if Katrina lies again." I frowned. "Did you see what happened earlier?"

"I was watching."

I nodded. Even though there were plenty of witnesses, it still wouldn't be enough to save me from being expelled. After all the trouble I've caused, the principal probably already tuned out anything I'd say.
