Sabrina's POV

Splash!

"Ah, shit!"

"Ano ba?! Bastusan?" I yelled, blinking rapidly as cold water dripped down my face. Great—someone just ruined my beauty sleep.

"Eh, ayaw mong gumising, eh. May pasok ka, 'di ba?"

I glared at the culprit—my ever-annoying sister. Sabine Anne, the queen of ruining mornings.

Wait... Pasok? It's the start of classes today? But I didn't pass last year. I was supposed to be a senior, but from what I remember, I failed. Uulit ako? No way! Too embarrassing!

Scratching my head, I muttered, "Di ba hindi naman ako nakapasa? Uulit ako? Nakakahiya kaya!"

I grabbed my blanket and tried to pull it over my head, but she yanked it back with the strength of a tyrant.

"You're already enrolled!" she announced smugly.

I groaned. "Bakit niyo pa ako in-enroll?! Ayoko na mag-aral! Alam ko namang hindi ako nakapasa—aray! Ano ba problema mo?!"

She smacked the back of my head. Classic Sabine. Sarap kalbuhin!

"Kailan ka ba naman pumasa, ha, Sabrina?" she said with an exasperated sigh. "Nagawan na 'yan ng paraan ni Dad. Nag-donate siya ng pera para sa pagpapagawa ng gym sa school niyo. Ayun, pasado ka ulit at nasa Section 1 pa. Tsk, spoiled delinquent."

Tsk. Called it. Yep, you're reading that right. The only reason I pass every year is because of my dad. I don't even want to think about how much he's donated to that school just to keep me afloat. Ah, the power of money.

And in case you're wondering about our status in life—well, not to brag, but unfortunately, we're filthy rich.

My dad owns several businesses and companies, not just here in the Philippines but abroad, too. He's one of the richest people in the country. As for Mom, her maiden name is one of the most prominent surnames here, so yeah. We're that kind of family.

Anyway, I'm Sabrina Mae Fuentabella Ferrer. Just call me Sab. I'm 16 years old, a fourth-year high school student, and the certified black sheep of the family. It's obvious, right?

I have two siblings. My sister Sabine Anne is 18, and she's the only one living with me and Mom. My brother, Sandrex Jan, is 21 and currently studying in Paris with Dad. I miss them so much—they're the only ones on my side most of the time.

What else? Hmm. That's all for now, I guess.

After my sister finally stopped pestering me, I dragged myself to the bathroom to take a shower. A few minutes later, dressed in my freshly ironed uniform, I headed downstairs for breakfast.

At our long dining table, I spotted Mom and, of course, my ever-annoying sister. She was happily eating like she hadn't just drenched me in ice-cold water.

"Hoy, kumain ka na!" she said, all bossy-like.

I rolled my eyes and plopped into the seat across from her. Then my eyes lit up when I spotted something glorious on the table: chocolates. Lots of chocolates!

"Don't even think about it! That's all mine!" she said, glaring at me as if she'd read my mind.

What a waste. I was really planning to bring some Ferrero with me—they're my favorite, after all

"Edi sayo! Lamunin mo ng buo! Madamot ka na nga, madamot ka pa!" I rolled my eyes at her.

"Tss... mag-aaway na naman kayo! Sabrina, ate mo 'yan. Konting respeto," Mom chimed in, shaking her head. "Hayaan mo na, bigay 'yan ng manliligaw niya kaya ganyan."
