Keith's POV

It was incredibly boring. The clock seemed to be moving in slow motion. And to make matters worse, the noise was unbearable. If I had known that there would be no teacher today, I should've just stayed late for a little longer.

Naglabas nalang ako ng notebook at nag-review. May quiz pa kasi mamaya sa next subject.

"Ehem."

I heard the soft clearing of a throat beside me. Sino pa ba?

I ignored it at first. But I couldn't help noticing her from the corner of my eye—she was facing me.

"Eheem."

She cleared her throat again, but I didn't acknowledge her. Ano ba ang trip ng babaeng ito?

"Eheeeem!"

This time, her cough was louder, and I could feel her eyes on me. Still, I didn't respond. Let her do her thing—it's none of my business.

Kung iniisip niyo kung bakit hindi ko siya pinansin, simple lang: Wala akong gana ngayong makipag usap. It's part of me being introvert. But this girl beside me is triggering it more.

"WHAT THE HELL?!" she suddenly shouted, clearly annoyed. "Do you seriously have no intention of acknowledging me?!"

I couldn't help but wince. Ang ingay naman talaga ng babaeng 'to.

"So, that's how it is? You really don't want to talk to me?" she continued, her voice rising.

Then, she grabbed my notebook—

What the...

Shit!!

"Why would you do that?! Are you out of your mind?!" I nearly shouted, irritation rising.

I couldn't believe what she did. Can you imagine?

Itinapon niya lang naman ang notebook ko sa bintana. Just great. (P.S. If you didn't catch the sarcasm, you should by now.)

She crossed her arms and shot me a look. "Well, if you had just acknowledged me, this wouldn't have happened."

"Tss... You're such an attention seeker," I muttered under my breath.

"If you had just paid attention earlier, there wouldn't have been a 'Throw-my-notebook-out-the-window' incident to begin with," she said, clearly smug.

I shook my head in frustration. What could I do? It was already gone.

"So, what now?" I asked, trying to maintain my composure.

"Well..." She nonchalantly placed her feet on top of her desk.

Tss... Seriously? Doesn't she care that someone might see her underwear in that position?

"Put your feet down. Sit properly. You're a girl, for crying out loud. Don't you care about being seen?" I said, trying to keep my irritation in check.

"Ay sus." She nudged me in the side playfully. "So now you're concerned? Yiee."

Yes, I was concerned. Even though she threw my notebook, it didn't change the fact that her behavior was driving me crazy.

"Ibaba mo na lang 'yan."

"It's fine. No one's going to notice," she said dismissively, as though the matter were trivial.

I stared at her, completely baffled. Was she for real? Nasa tamang pag-iisip ba 'to?

"Joke lang!" she suddenly burst out laughing. "Relax, Keith. I'm wearing cycling shorts under this, okay?" she added, shifting her skirt just enough to show the shorts underneath. Fortunately, the shorts were in line with the length of her skirt. At least she wasn't entirely reckless.
