Unknown POV
I ran with my wolves strength. Another howl pierced the silent night. It was my Luna, my mate. I had to get to her. Why aren't you here yet? I need you. It was Jona, my mates wolf. I'm on my way as fast as I can. My wolf, Aang, responded. I didnt want her to get hurt. I had to get there NOW. I jumped over a log and straight into...an ambush. On the ground was Katara. She was under him. I growled a warning. A small whine came from one of the others. A black and white pup was in the brown ones mouth. Aang took over and snarled.
What are you waiting for? Their hurting our mate and pups. Attack! He wanted to attack. But I knew this other Alpha's mind. He would kill my Luna and then the pups. I growled again. "What do you want Johan?" There was a chuckle. The tan wolf brought out a black pup. The brown one brought the black and white one forward. Around her neck was the charm I made for her. (The charm is one the front cover). I growled again. "I want you to stand down Adam. And then I may consider letting your mate and you leave with a pup." He snarled. The tan wolf dropped the black pup from its muzzle. The whine from the pup was horrific. "Stop, I'll do what you want, just let my mate and the pups go. I'll do whatever you want me too." I whined. I moved so that I was laying down at Johan's paws.
He bent down. "You think I want you as a slave Adam? I want your pack, and territory. If I kill you now I'll get it. You should be happy that I won't." He growled in my ear. The tan wolf took a step forward, it was followed by a whine from the two month old pup. I jumped to my feet and growled. I tackled the tan wolf and sunk my teeth into its throat. I turned to the brown wolf that was still holding the black and white pup. He set her down slowly and back off, disappearing in the trees. I picked both pups up and brought them to Katara. She was bleeding and her breaths came strangled.
I turned to Johan and snarled, baring my teeth. "You hurt her? You hurt her? Fight me like a true Alpha, Johan, or run like the coward you are." Aang cheered and was ready to fight. I heard a whine from behind me. I turned to see a pitch black wolf take his teeth out of Katara's flank. He turned and took the black and white pup. "Storm!" I growled. This was too far. I jumped towards Johan. The black wolf disappeared into the night. "Where did you take her! Tell me." There was no response, just a chuckle. I leaped into Johans side.
