The brothers pulled away from me and all I could think was that I wished they wouldn't have. My body, whether I wanted to admit it or not, wanted them. That's part of the reason why I wanted to stay as far away from them as possible. I knew my body would want them. I just wasn't sure if it was from my own volition, or if it was because of the bond.
I remained seated on their bed, my eyes downcast to try and hide the glow behind my eyes. I wasn't sure if it was working or not.
Cayson kneeled down and looked directly into my eyes. "What's wrong, Kitten?"
Touch me, I thought, and gritted my teeth. I hated physical contact, so why the hell was I wanting them to go back to touching me the way they were before? I'd understand more if I liked them even the slightest amount.
Don't get me wrong, they were ok humans. But I didn't feel anything other than a general acceptance of their existence. I didn't know them well enough to make a clear decision on whether or not I liked them. I still didn't trust their stance on omegas, and why should I? I'd never met an alpha who thought like them. There were plenty of alphas who thought the same? I doubted it.
I shook my head. "Nothing is wrong. It was just a shock to have you two touch me all of a sudden."
"No," Keon knelt as well, "you're overthinking."
My eyebrows furrowed. How the hell would they know I'm overthinking?
"Tell us what you were thinking about." It wasn't necessarily an order, but they both did seem to want to know.
Open up.
I let out a sigh and turned my face away from their probing eyes. "I don't trust that you see omegas as equal. I've never met an alpha who thought like you."
"Is that it," Keon asked, standing to his full height. He pulled out a cell phone from his back pocket and dialed a number.
"Hey, man." He smiled. "Mind coming over for a few?"
A pause, then he looked down at me. "Yeah. You can bring Theo with you too if you want."
He laughed at something the person on the other end said before saying goodbye. When he slid his phone into his pocket, he raised an eyebrow at me.
Cayson stood. "I'm sure you'll like Seth and Theo. Once you get it through your thick skull that alphas aren't all the same, that is."
We didn't even make it out of the bedroom before there was a knock at the front door of their house. Cayson grasped my arm to stop my forward movement as Keon continued forward, throwing me back a smirk.
An omega opened the door and a young blonde-haired man grinned at her. "Mia, sweetheart. How are you?"
The omega smiled up at him, completely and utterly genuine. When he reached out and hugged her, she wrapped her arms around him willingly.
Another man followed, looking at the omega girl with fondness through thick black glasses. His bright blue eyes glistened in amusement as the blonde squeezed the girl tight.
"Theo," the omega girl finally said to the man with the glasses and bright red hair. "Nice to see you."
Theo grinned and I tilted my head in confusion. They didn't have time to tell the omegas to act like they liked alphas. And the alphas sure as hell looked like they genuinely liked the girl's company.
When the two men saw Keon, the blonde - Seth, I assumed - flipped him off while Theo shook his head at his partner.
"Ah," Keon hugged both men, "fuck you two also. Thanks for coming on such short notice."
