This is set in a different "world" I guess where she never met Keon and Cayson and somehow met Seth and Teo.

°°°°°

Teo and Seth stared at me like I did something wrong. It didn't matter how many times I asked what I did, it didn't matter how much I said I didn't do whatever it was they thought I did, they didn't seem to believe me. They just continued to stare at me from across the room, hands in their pockets, and eyes narrowed.

"What did I do," I asked carefully.

They shared a look.

"She wants to know what she did," Seth cooed. "That's cute."

I honestly had no idea what I did. I went out with a friend for lunch and then came back. When I got back, they were waiting for me with that pissed off look in their eye.

I shook my head, finally allowing my bag to drop from my arm onto the floor.

Recently, Teo and Seth had been around more often than not. I had my own apartment finally, and after about a month, they somehow found a way in without me giving them a key. I suspected they bribed my landlord and got an extra set for themselves, but I couldn't be sure. Either way, I didn't mind. It wasn't like I didn't know the two men and what they were.

"Where'd you go," Seth asked.

They'd also become a little more...interested in my daily life. Which was odd, since Teo didn't especially care for anything pertaining to anything but his work, and Seth had always seemed to care for me like I was his little sister. Yet something had shifted.

"Out with a friend for lunch," I said, taking off my jacket and throwing it over the coat hanger by the door.

When I turned around, they were only mere inches away from me, towering over me and staring down at me with eyes that would frighten most. Two top alphas staring at someone with that much anger would scare most people. But me? I just raised an eyebrow.

I knew they'd never hurt me. It didn't matter how angry they got with me, it only ever resorted to light teasing.

Teo reached over and turned me back around. A push against my back had me falling forward. I slammed my hands on the wall and looked back at him dumbfounded.

His eyes met mine the moment his hand swung out, and came back down onto my ass.

I yelped and spun around, my hand covering the burn.

Unseen hands grabbed my wrists and pulled them away, forcing them up above my head.

"With whom," Teo asked.

"Theo," I answered.

It was true. I went out with Theo. But I was beginning to understand why they were so mad. I didn't think they'd realize it so soon, but it seemed it only took them seconds to figure it out.

Theo had taught me how to block them out from my mind so they could neither speak to me, nor listen to my thoughts. I didn't always feel when they were prodding in my mind, but I didn't realize it was so often for them to figure it out the moment they saw me enter my own apartment.

"Quit blocking us," Seth murmured.

I raised an eyebrow in challenge.

"Phoenix." He narrowed his eyes. "I'm not really all into the shit Teo is, but I'm completely willing to do it to get you to talk."
