I snorted for the first time in my life the moment I saw Keon wearing the shirt my mother chose for him. Then there was Cayson, whose shirt was just as bad, if not worse, than the one his brother wore. Seeing the two next to each other made me laugh so hard that my stomach began to ache.
Keon glared at me, then down at the pink polka-dotted shirt with little cats on them. He grabbed the hem and pulled it out to study it, then sighed and ran his hands over his face.
Cayson, however, just stared at himself in the mirror with a hopeless expression on his face, his eyes never once leaving the big shit emoji positioned right in the middle of his chest. What made it even better though, was the fact that it had bows on either side, and each little fly had a little pink bow on their heads as well.
"Oh, my God." I grabbed my stomach and leaned against the wall. I covered my mouth with my hand to try and stifle the noise, but it did nothing when they both glared at me.
"We literally bought these shirts for each other as gag gifts three years ago." Keon looked over at his brother. "I was never intending to wear it."
"And you think I was?" Cayson's eyes widened. "Why the hell was this shirt even a thing? And we have to go to our place of employment wearing this shit."
I figured my mother did it on purpose. For what reason, I had no clue. But I appreciated it nonetheless.
I wore a plain blue v-neck and jeans, which was nothing compared to their ensemble. I appreciated that as well. If she would have somehow found a shirt like that for me? I probably would have just gone to the hospital in a bra.
Speaking of.
"Why don't you wear what you did yesterday?" I nodded towards the bag my mother dropped off, that now held our clothes from the night before.
Keon pursed his lips. "Well, love, that's because we used our shirt to wipe off your cu-"
I raised my hands and placed them over his lips. "Got it."
I felt his lips curl up.
Cayson slinked behind me and knelt to run his tongue over the shell of my ear. The feeling made me jerk away from him, but I only ended up pressing my body against Keon, who wrapped an arm around me.
"Don't laugh, sweetheart," Keon murmured. "You wouldn't want any sort of punishment...would you?"
I felt my heart skip and I looked up into glowing eyes. He gave me a lazy smirk and my knees went weak.
What the hell?
"Libidos, my love." Cayson said. "After being mated, it's so much higher."
"And," Keon bent his head and placed it by my ear, "speaking we have been holding ourselves back for the past month and some odd days, we're really feeling it."
I let out a nervous laugh and moved away. "I'm sure Teo is waiting."
I felt their eyes on me as I walked out of the bathroom and into the hallway. The brothers weren't far behind, but they remained behind me.
Alphas shouldn't stand behind omegas.
I stopped and turned. I didn't know what they were trying to prove, even if there weren't any people down in the basement. They may be my mates, but they still should never walk behind.
"I know what you're thinking," Cayson said, raising his hands defensively. "I can guarantee you, our rank hadn't even crossed our mind."
"It never does," Keon said. "At least, not with you."
