Chapter 13: Breakups & Makeups

Seulgi pov:

"Don't you want to know about how this chain got there?", Kai says which makes me turn around and close the door.

"I was drunk and you bought me back to my room", I say as I look around their room again! while he sits next to me and just stares at me.

Wasn't he going to say something?

"Didn't you say that you have something to tell me?", I ask as I start becoming impatient.

"That's it? Don't you remember anything  else, Maybe about the kiss?", he says as he turns me towards him.

"Yes, I'm sorry. I was just drunk. I don't remember anything else, it's just blurry", I say as I bite my lower lip and wait for his response.

"After you confessed your feelings for me, I didn't know how to react to it. I could see how much you were holding back all along", he says as he takes my hand in his.

"But.."

"Let me finish it Seulgiah. I had to practice a lot to prepare myself", he says as he laughs out and looks down to my hands he was holding.

"O..okay"

"I tried to express myself to you but you have always seen it as friendship. Maybe somewhere I always knew that you liked me too. That's the reason why I never stopped teasing you. I never knew that it was really bothering you that much, I'm sorry", he says as a small smile forms on his lips. I just look at him with amusement on my face.

"Kai..I don't know what to say", I say as I look at him.

"I think it's time we take our friendship to the next level. Will you be my girlfriend?"

"Jonginah are you serious about this? Would you be able to handle the consequences again? I don't want to lose a friend", I say as I put out my main concern. After he broke up with krystal, I saw how their friendship changed. It was difficult for them to handle the pressure of public dating. They tried to stay as close friends but their bond is surely not like earlier. I just don't want to lose him as my friend.

"I'm sorry Seulgiah. I think I need some time", he says as he leaves my hand. I didn't want him to leave my hand, I just wanted to know if he's serious about us. Things seem so perfect in imaginations but reality is definitely something else. Sometimes being practical is necessary but it surely does hurt.

"It's okay Jonginah. I will be heading to the dining hall then", I say as I caress his cheek and close the door behind me as I leave.

Joy pov:

"Sooyounga I'll be leaving tomorrow", Yerin says as she sits next to me.

"Why? You just got here and we still don't know the reason behind this gathering", I say as I hug her.

"I want to stay too but our comeback preparations are set to start in a week and I have to be there. I just took an off of 2 days for our trip and my company has no information of any variety show. It's better to leave", she says as she closes her eyes after resting her head against my body.

"Your company has no information about this? That's means it might be just a normal trip", I say as look towards her. I remember the conversation with Irene unnie and others but I still suspect this situation to be honest. Maybe they are just being fooled too.

"This is really strange though. If you didn't text me, who was the one to text me in the first place?", she says as we start suspecting about the motives behind this trip.

"It's better not to think about this. Let's enjoy our last day together", I say as I smile. These two days were good but I didn't get to spend much time with Yerin. I want to spend time with her as we planned before coming here.
