"I'll make the first move if you don't mind," Kyle called out. Pansage did a flip upon entry.

"Vine whip, hit it Pansage!"
Pansage dashed in forward, just what Isaiah was hoping would happen. Before the Pokémon could attempt a move, he got knocked back with Aipom's Fake-Out attack very easily. Pansage flinched, allowing Aipom to follow with another attack.
"Let's go with slam Aipom."
Aipom kept up the pressure, getting in point-blank range. While Pansage was still recovering from its flinch, Aipom held it within its tail and flushed Pansage into the ground.
"Bullet seed now!"
Pansage bounced up quickly unleashing a barrage of small golden projectiles. Aipom backed up, hopping from left to right. The bullet seed only got closer until it had Aipom within range.
Isaiah hesitated in calling out to dodge; the attack was already on top of his Pokémon. Aipom took the initiative in blocking the attack, but it did a bit of damage. The bullet seeds made Aipom slide back slightly. Aipom stayed on his feet, still raring to go.
"Vine whip" Kyle called out.
Isaiah was quick to think, "dodge that," he said calmly.
"Pom"
Aipom jumped back, dodging the first attempt. Aipom began taunting the Pansage by pointing at it while making silly faces.
"Pan, Pan!"
"Ugh keep going Pansage!" It's trainer yelled out. Pansage responded with a barrage of attacks one after the other. Aipom continued to dodge them with ease.
"Keep it up, Aipom," Isaiah praised. Aipom flipped over one vine, then ducked another, and finally spinning away from the last attack. Pansage was all tired out at this point in the battle.
Isaiah kept his composure, "wrap it up with a slam."
Aipom dashed towards the unguarded grass type faster than he's ever seen it moved before. The sparing session against Pearl's Medicham helped Aipom grow, and Isaiah could see it paying off little by little.
