~S.S Unova Royal~

"Yo get up! Isaiah, wake up you're gonna miss the tournament!" Pearl threw his pillow, which drilled Isaiah in the back of his head. He slept on his side with his face towards the wall, opposite of Pearl's bed.

Isaiah groaned and covered his head with the blanket. Pearl balled up his cover and tossed it at Isaiah again. Isaiah sighed and aggressively threw his blanket back, sitting upright.

"Good, you're up. Just in time to enter the tournament in the battle arena," Pearl said. Isaiah, still in a drunken state, just scratched his head.

"What? Nope, I'm good," he replied while throwing his body back into the bed. Isaiah threw Pearl's blanket on the floor, then covered his face.

"You're a strong trainer Isaiah, have at it" Pearl encouraged.

"You're the one with eight badges; it should be a breeze...Pearl," Isaiah said his name with a bit of aggression. Pearl snickered, then surprised Isaiah by throwing his backpack at him.

It landed directly on his chest, "fine, fine I'm up" Isaiah blurted out. He swung his legs over the edge, thinking about requesting for a new roommate.

"I can't enter anyway. It's only for newbies," Pearl replied.

He saw the face Isaiah made, "no offense" Pearl added.

Isaiah waved his hand and slipped into his running shoes. "Who holds a tournament at..." Isaiah looked down at his C-gear. "7:13 in the morning," he finished.

Pearl put on his adventure pack, "the Unova Royal. It'll be cool to see you and Aipom in action. Not to mention the amount of battle experi-."

"Alright, alright," Isaiah interjected. He slung his adventure pack over his shoulder and grabbed Aipom's pokéball from the desk.

"Where do I enter," Isaiah said unenthusiastically.

~Unova Royal Battle Arena~

The moment Isaiah stepped foot inside the battle arena, he knew why the cafeteria looked the way it did. It was clear the money went towards the battle arena. Isaiah couldn't contain his newfound excitement. There were trainers and probably non-trainers who filled in the bleachers. The battlefield looked like the ones used in the Pokémon League.

The arena was very spacious, yet ironically crowded. Isaiah had to maneuver his way through multiple trainers to keep up with Pearl. There were vendors in almost every corner. Yelling out there products to eager trainers who had money burning their pockets.

"I love the vendors here; they have everything you could want. Tm's, Hm's, battle items, evolution stones and pretty much everything" Pearl said. Isaiah looked around and spotted a Pokémon center as well. Pearl lead him to the registration counter.
