~Eterna City~
Isaiah leaned on the outside of the Pokémon Center, waiting for Alisha to finish up inside. Eterna City and Jubilife were worlds apart from each other. Jubilife had big city buildings, billboards, and televisions all over. Whereas Eterna showed its age with its ancient styled buildings and dirt roads. The Eterna Historical Museum stood out in the center of it all.
As much he wanted to relax and explore, Isaiah knew Team Xûl was already in Hearthome City. They're really a mysterious group of criminals, which made them even more dangerous. Just the thought of Team Xûl plotting their next attack made him grimace.
Isaiah turned his attention a bit further down the road where the Eterna City gym was located. The exterior was decorated with all different types of flowers that he didn't know existed. Trainers were going and leaving as they pleased when one enters another came out.
He sighed and folded his arms, "does it take that long," he said out loud. He looked at his Pokétch and the time read 3:15 pm. He didn't train his pokémon while they were in Eterna Forest, so he wanted to catch a few battles before sunset. He also didn't want to be a terrible person and leave without a word.
The sound of the slow automated doors slid back and Alisha stepped over the threshold with glee on her face. She saw Isaiah held a puzzled expression, "did I take too long?"
Isaiah shrugged his shoulders, "it's fine, so what are you going to do?"
Alisha turned in the direction of the gym, then spun around towards the Inn that was just around the corner from the Pokémon center. She opened her mouth but closed it and frowned.
"I actually don't know. It's still early enough to challenge Gardenia, but I would like to rest after all we've been through in the forest." Alisha folded her arm and faced Isaiah, "what do you think?"
Isaiah shrugged again, "that's completely up to you," he replied nonchalantly.
Alisha's cheeks puffed out, "you're no help," she said. She came to the realization that they finally made it to Eterna City, meaning they can go their separate ways. She grew sad at the thought but knew that's what they agreed on.
She waited for Isaiah to say something, so she decided to break the ice."Before we split, give me your phone," she reached a handout.
Isaiah pulled out his Xtransceiver and placed it in her hand. "Why do you want my phone?" He asked as she gingerly took it and began typing. Isaiah watched Alisha navigated her way to his contact list. She held the phone up and posed; a winky face, holding peace sign and sticking her tongue out at the camera.
"Here," she returned his phone. He looked down at the newly added contact of Alisha's silly, yet cute picture. He shoved it back in his pocket to avoid staring at her picture.
"I figured I should give you my number so we can stay in contact and stuff," Alisha pressed her lips together to hide a full-blown smile.
"Ye-yeah that's cool with me. I agree we should talk- um communicate over the phone," Isaiah stuttered and bit his lip to refrain from talking.
