~Route 212~

After asking the locals in Pastoria City, the only place worth visiting on route 212 is the Pokémon Mansion. It was owned by a wealthy old man by name of Mr. Backlot. He opened his manor to visitors during the day where they could sightsee. Trainers stopped by the mansion to register and battle rare Pokémon from the trophy garden in the back.

Isaiah called Pearl's phone repeatedly but to no avail, he wasn't answering at all. The pair ran through the first half of route 212 and they were losing daylight, fast. Isaiah knew by the time they arrived, it will be nightfall and Team Xûl would already be inside. He could only hope they get there to minimize the damage done. They were going in head-on with no backup.

They used the darkness of the night to avoid battle-ready trainers on the route.

"How many you think are at the main mansion?" Alisha asked.

Isaiah huffing, "maybe between to two and six. Let's just hope there isn't as many as there were back in Hearthome."

~Pokémon Mansion~

Alisha and Isaiah watched from behind the small shrubbery on the main road of route 212. The mansion was exactly what they expected it to be, massive in stature with many windows. A high white wall with golden gates on top encircled the place. In front, laid two slumbering guards with no signs of a physical struggle.

There was a concrete paved path that lead to the front door. Two water fountains sat on the left and right side of the path, in the middle of Pokémon statues.
Isaiah gazed at four more guards sleeping soundly on the ground as they passed by.

'Team Xûl must've made quick work of them with their Pokémon,' Isaiah thought.

"Did these guys even stand a chance?" Alicia asked in an anxious tone. "Do we even take a chance?"

He stopped in front of the door and rested a hand on her shoulder. She looked into his eyes and a sense of security gradually washed over her.

"You have me, " he started. "And I have you. The minute things get overwhelming, we make a run for it."

Alisha hesitated before nodding her head, "y-yeah."

Isaiah moved his hand down to her forearm.

"You trust me, right?"

"Of course. Let's do it." Alisha's courage came back knowing Isaiah was beside her.

Isaiah noticed a small crack in the door, giving them easy access to enter. Alisha stacked behind him as they crept inside the mansion. A fancy chandelier decorated as a Chandelure hung from the ceiling, illuminating the center of the manor. It was very quiet, nothing broken or anything out of the ordinary. Everything was clean and spiffy, not a speck of dust on the lamp sheds or portraits. Even the red velvet carpet was lint-free and the gilded doorknobs were glistening from the hall lights.
