~Mt. Coronet~

Isaiah and Alisha entered Mt. Coronet by departing east of Eterna City. Once inside, they had to traverse north to reach Snowpoint City. They didn't expect the mountain to be so unforgiving in its terrain. The pair assisted each other over huge boulders and rocky inclines. Pawniard and Mawile were more than happy to come out of their pokéballs to crush a few rocks that blocked their path.

"I can't believe you risked your ranking, just to battle against Byron's Mega Steelix. You didn't even have a mega of your own, what were you thinking?" Alisha lightly elbowed him. Before Isaiah could fix his lips to speak, she interrupted him again.

"I thought-"

"You weren't thinking, that's what!" Alisha didn't know if she was genuinely worried about what could've gone wrong or jealous of the outcome.

Isaiah chuckled at her outburst, "will you let me explain?"

"Yes, I have to know the method behind your madness."

"I had met a trainer, Riley, before going back to Iron Islands for training session."

"Yeah, you mentioned him."

"Well, he uh, has this extraordinary ability to read auras."

Alisha raised an eyebrow at him, "read what now?"

"A total nutcase, I thought so too, but he's the real deal, Alisha."

She blinked hard twice, "alright I'll play along. What does 'aura' guy have to do with your battle with Byron?"

"You'll believe me when I finish..."

Isaiah explained to Alisha about the training regimen Riley put him through at the island as they continued through Mt. Coronet. He had multiple sparring sessions against Mega Lucario, but never managed to gain a victory. Riley acknowledged Isaiah's strength and the bond he built with his pokemon before and during their training sessions. Even going as far as saying Isaiah's natural battling skills exceeded that of Diamond when he was his age.

Alisha folded her arms, "hmm" she murmured.

"You still don't believe me?"

"I believe you, but what you did regardless was risky Isaiah."

"I didn't know you cared so much," he teased.

"Pfft, don't flatter yourself," Alisha stopped in her tracks to look at the surrounding area inside Mount Coronet. "We're lost," she said.

Isaiahlooked left and right, "we're not lost." He peered forward to see a thick mist obstructing anything that could be on the other side. Isaiah wasn't thrilled to walk through the fog but he knew that was the only way to reach route 216.

Isaiah pointed forward, "I guess we go through the fog, there's no other way around it." Alisha agreed and followed Isaiah's lead. As they approached the mist, Isaiah's skin began to tingle from the sudden temperature change. The path they walked along narrowed with every step taken. Alisha's body shivers and low teeth chatter caught Isaiah's attention. He looked over his shoulder to check on her, Alisha's head was on a swivel as she walked.
