~Eterna City Trainer's Inn~
"Here's your room for the night, Trainer," the receptionist said as he handed Isaiah a key card. Isaiah thanked the man and headed towards the elevator but overheard a rather interesting conversation.
"I'm telling you, Alex, I will catch that little runt if it's the last thing I do," the trainer said, walking to the front desk. The brunette's hair was tangled and thrown across her face. Her pants were compiled with dirt stains, as well her stretched out flannel top.
On the other hand, Alex looked unharmed. His height stopped at her stomach, Alex's thick glass and freckles stood out. He held on to a book tightly while trying to comfort her.
"M-maybe you should look for other Pokemon Jennifer," he said.
"No, I want this pokémon" Jennifer snapped. Isaiah stepped back into the lobby, filled with curiosity.
"A pokémon did that to you?" Isaiah asked.
"What's it to you?" Jennifer barked.
Isaiah blinked hard twice, "well nevermind-"
"There's a Pokémon that only comes out at night in Mt Coronet. Other trainers, as well as my sister, have been obsessing over it for days now" Alex spoke. Isaiah could sense the frustration Alex had with his Sister.
Isaiah's eyes swept over Jennifer in an awkward exchange, "well what pokémon is it?"
Jennifer rolled her eyes, "like you can do better" she said. Isaiah ignored her comment and looked at Alex.
"Maybe a ghost type, it uses Shadow Sneak to its advantage," Alex said. Isaiah pressed his lips together and fiddled with his key card. This wild pokémon seemed like trouble, which Isaiah stayed way from, for the most part. He wanted to see the menace for himself.
He didn't mind having a quick night adventure. Isaiah shoved his keycard in his pocket, "I'll just go see for myself." Jennifer mumbled something but Isaiah ignored her.
He was met by a cool breeze as he ventured outside into the night. Street lights lit up the roads as well as the lights of stores and homes. Isaiah plugged his earbuds in and continued on his back to route 211. There wasn't much activity in the city around this time which he expected.
His Xtranceiver vibrated in his pockets, he looked at the screen to see that same picture Alisha took. Isaiah smiled and answered the phone calmly.
"What's up?" He asked while holding the phone out in front of his face.
"Hey Isaiah, I was just going over my strategy for my gym battle and I wanted to another opinion." Alisha held a serious face. She sat with her legs crossed in the bed, with her journal in hand. All her pokéballs were sitting alongside her while.
"Uh, sure let me hear it" Isaiah replied. He alternated between looking ahead and at Alisha. She went on to tell Isaiah about her plans for Gardenia, he listened with opened ears with the occasional 'mhm' or 'yeah' in-between conversations.
