~S.S Unova Royal~
The next morning...
Isaiah sat across from Pearl at the cafeteria table. It's not often Isaiah is up early enough to eat breakfast, but he managed to get up for the final few hours of the cruise. He was too excited to even get a good night's sleep. Isaiah couldn't stop thinking about finally docking in Canalave City.
His journey would be almost ready to truly begin, that is until he gets his starter from Prof Rowan.
"Where you headed to first?" Pearl asks, just before stuffing his mouth with eggs and bacon.
"I'm gonna visit Jubilife City for a bit, then most likely make my way over to Sandgem Town, gotta see Prof Rowan," Isaiah replied.
Pearl's eyes widened, he looked up at Isaiah and gulped down his chunky food.
"Really? Jeez, I haven't seen the old man in years" Pearl responded.
Isaiah nodded his head, going back to his plate.
"Wait!" Pearl blurted out.
Isaiah, startled, turned around then looked back at Pearl. The nearest group of people dropped their utensils and shot Pearl a dirty look while relocating to different seats.
"Is he going to give you a starter Pokémon?!"
"Shhh. The whole ship doesn't need to know."
Pear lowered his head and looked around before mouthing the word 'sorry.'
Isaiah facepalmed, "yeah, I hope he does."
Pearl sat upright, sticking out his chest, "ahh I remember my first starter." Isaiah watched as Pearl's eyes drifted away, most likely reminiscing about his pokémon.
Isaiah got a spoonful of cereal, leaving Pearl to his thoughts.
"Do you know who you're going to choose?"
Isaiah looked over his shoulder, to see Alisha had sat down next to him. She wasn't rocking her normal bad girl look. Alisha kept it simple this time, or as simple as he'd seen her. She sat with her legs crossed, her ripped tight jeans exposing her knees. She wore a loose gray t-shirt, with a Granbull as the graphic.
"I like how you just jumped into our conversation," Isaiah said sarcastically.
Alisha shrugged her shoulders, "it's not my fault your friend talks loud." She glared at him, but Pearl wasn't paying either one of them any attention.
"Well, I have no clue yet," Isaiah replied.
Pearl came back from memory lane, "hmm, I think you're holding out on me."
Alisha nodded her head, "definitely holding out," she added.
Pearl's head snapped in her direction, "oh I didn't see you there. You're the girl that he battled in the second round, Alisha, right?."
