~Oreburgh City~

Isaiah sat comfortably in the lobby of the Oreburgh City Pokémon Center. A long break from battles was well deserved. There were more trainers on route 203 than he anticipated. It took him all morning to get from Jubilife to Oreburgh, making it just before noon. Snivy proved to be well worth the pick, knocking off any pokémon it battled against.

Pawniard improved little by little, but they still weren't on the same page as of yet. Aipom saw more of the battlefield than Snivy and Pawniard. He planned on sitting Aipom out when he challenge the gym, so having him battle as much as he can now make for it. Pawniard and Snivy should have an easy time with rock-types, but Isaiah never guarantees a win before any battle.

Isaiah stayed to himself and his thoughts while other trainers conversed amongst themselves. He wondered what Pearl was up to. Since they hadn't exchanged contact info, Isaiah didn't know when they would cross paths again.

Before his mind could wander, even more, the big screen TV switched channels. The PBLSA ( Pokémon Battle League Sinnoh Association) was on, a channel he watched religiously back in Unova. He watched every region's Pokémon League, every time the tournament was held.

This time it was different. It wasn't the same MC he was so used to seeing. There was an enormous castle-like building. It had a neon blue pokéball engraved at the top of the building. On the left and right corners, were statues of a pokéball on a pedestal.

A Lucario landed on its feet, charging up a huge Aura Sphere. The attack bounced in between the Pokémon paws, and it was then released with incredible speed. The camera could barely keep up.

A Pokémon surrounded in dark blueish energy drilled through the attack. The mist cleared to reveal a terrifying Garchomp, showing its razor-sharp teeth. It quickly went on the offensive; its claws were glowing a shimmering emerald color.

Isaiah assumed Garchomp was using dragon claw. It didn't matter; the Lucario was very elusive. A gleaming light blue bone formed between its paws. Lucario parried and dodged every dragon claw from Garchomp. The two Pokémon fought until it looked like Lucario had the upper hand.

Lucario found an opening, and the bone rush was going to be a direct hit, but it stopped. Isaiah, as well as everyone else in the Pokémon center, was shocked. The camera slowly panned down to where Garchomp found an opening on Lucario but stopped as well.

"Woooah," the crowd erupted.

"Alright, that was a good training session," a voice said.

That was training? Isaiah thought to himself. An actual battle would probably be brutal, he figured.

A tall, fair-skinned blonde woman walked gracefully between the two Pokémon. Isaiah immediately noticed who it was, based on her famous attire. He held his excitement, but couldn't look away from the tv.
