~Oreburgh City~
"Get up Isaiah, come on let's go," Isaiah, couldn't recognize the voice that called his name. Roark reached from behind, hoisting him up by his armpits. Isaiah found some strength and managed to stand up straight. He didn't even take most of the blast but still felt the effects.
Roark's clothes were smoldering. He had cuts on his arms and face from the broken glass door. His hard hat was thrown across the gym, revealing his messy burgundy colored hair. Besides the small amount of pain in his back, Isaiah was fine.
"Stay close, I'm going to check out the scene," Roark said as he approached the door with more caution. Isaiah followed Roark, his body feeling heavier than it's ever felt.
The morning sunlight heated his skin. What he saw made him choke on anything he was going to see. The city was littered with Team Xul goons, numerous battles filled the streets. The miners were determined to hold their own, to defend Oreburgh.
The city turned darker by the second as if the sun was being covered up. Roark looked up into the sky and took a step back.
"Wh-what's that?" Roark asked while pointing.
Isaiah turned his attention away from the battles and followed Roark's finger. His heart dropped at the sight of an airship making its way over the city. A sudden wave of fear spread throughout his body. He felt his blood grow cold as is coursed through his veins.
The ship painted matte black with a chrome trim lining. The sail had the same picture that was on grunts hoodies. There was no mistaking it, Isaiah can spot their logo anyway where.
Ropes dropped from both sides of the ship. More grunts slid down the ropes one after another. Just when the workers started to get the upper hand.
"Roark, there're more of them going towards the mines. We hold off the city as long as we can!" One of the workers had just landed a knockout Focus Punch with his Machoke.
Roark nodded his head and took off in a sprint. Roark looked over his shoulder to see Isaiah still standing, staring at the airship.
"Isaiah! What are you doing? To the mines!" Roark shouted while ducking a Razor Leaf attack.
Isaiah snapped out of his trance, "ri-right," he ignored everything around him and proceeded to follow Roark. Both of them ducked and dodged numerous attacks that were sent their way.
They made a sharp right turn and just up ahead, the mines were in sight. The construction workers continue to hold their own in battles. Isaiah was starting to get a familiar feeling in his stomach. Maybe it was just a bunch of Butterfree in his stomach from the sudden attack on the city.
Two sharp stone pillars erupted from the ground a few feet in front of them, blocking their path. Roark reacted quickly, grabbing a pokéball from his waist.
