21. Flight
RHIAN's POV
7:30AM ang flight namin, we brought the ticket last minute so we don't really have a choice. Kung ano ang available, iyon nalang ang kinuha namin.
It's still early, 10PM palang pero naisipan na namin mag-ayos ng mga gamit namin. We know for sure that some of us, majority, are all heavy sleepers at baka late kami magising lahat. Atleast di'ba, ready na mga gamit namin.
"Just finished! I'll take a shower now." Paalam ni Thalie at nauna ng tumaas sa aming lahat. Average size lang ang luggage na dadalin niya kaya mas madali siyang natapos.
I didn't waste time, antok na antok na din ako and I don't wanna look and feel shitty later, "Taas na ako, sleep na rin kayo after." Paalam ko sa Royalties.
They just hummed as a reply, too sleepy to form a word or two.
Parang pagkapikit na pagkapikit ko palang ay tsaka naman tumunog ng malakas ang alarm clock ko. Grabe! Sure ba na naka-ilang oras tulog ko? Parang 5 minutes lang, ang sarap umiyak.
Tiis ganda talaga whenever we travel, it always has pros and cons. Nice experience but exhausting!
I made sure everything's under control, lahat ng passports ng boys ay kinuha ko na din kasi knowing them? They'll surely lose it if hindi ko kinuha especially Shawn or Earl.
It's okay naman dahil sila na rin ang nag-abala na mag-buhat ng gamit namin to transfer it lahat sa van.
"Let's buy breakfast nalang on the way. We can stop over sa 7/11 or mag-drive thru nalang tayo." Kylie said when the car started moving. We don't have time to eat na din sa bahay and hindi na rin kami nag-balak kagabi since we know that it's all hard for us to wake up earlier.
Buti nalang, may driver kaming kasama! It's not a school related trip pero the University still let us have Manong Driver, I'm so glad! Less hassle for us.
Gaya ng usapan, nag-stop over kami sa 7/11 to buy snacks. Kylie and Chyros volunteered na bumili.
Nagsi-labasan din ang iba para maka-hinga, kami ni Thalie at Shawn ang naiwan sa loob.
"Kuya Ethan is still busy kahit malapit na mag-pasko, I wonder when I'll see him again." Thalie suddenly opened up.
"Baka may problema?" Tanong ni Shawn.
"I don't know, he looks fine the last time I saw him." Ganyan talaga si Thalie pagdating sa kuya niya. She likes to be loved and pampered, a princess attitude indeed.
"Do you still want to come with us this Christmas?" Na-guilty tuloy ako, that time is the only time that the Royalties can spend with their own family and yet pinagkait ko pa iyon.
"I still wanna come with all of you, hindi naman ito ang huling pasko. I can visit my family another time." Thalie cling on me.
I sighed at pinatong na ang ulo ko sa balikat niya.
THALIE'S POV
Hindi rin nag-tagal ay nakarating kami on time sa airport, we processed everything na at kasalukuyan kaming nag-aantay ng announcement.
"Thalie, if may nakita akong japanese cuisine restaurant, can you libre me sushi?" Pagla-lambing ni Earl sa'kin.
"We'll look for sushi pagdating natin sa destination." He gave me a quick hug, obviously happy na pinagbiguan ko siya.
Around 7:30 ay departure na kami, fortunately wala naman nangyaring delay or other inconvenience so we have a really good feeling today.
Nasa middle part, specifically the wing part ang upuan na assigned sa ticket namin. My seat is right beside the window. Kurt sat beside me, 2-seater lang ang nasa side namin kaya kami lang dalawa ang mag-katabi.
"Kurt, I'm tired."
"Sleep for awhile, wifey. I'll wake you up after some time."
"Wifey?"
"We're married, right?" Kurt laughed, all his attention on me now.
"Stop flirting with me, I told you I'm tired." Reklamo ko.
"Just say you love me and go."
He laughed lightly, "Sleep na."
I heaved a sigh before resting my whole body on the backrest, kinuha ko ang eye mask at sinaksak sa tenga ko ang airpods na dala ko.
Nagising ako nang marinig ko ang announcement saying that we're arriving after a few minutes kaya kailangan na namin mag-ready sa arrival. Nandito pa rin si Kurt at natutulog pa rin, kaya tumingin ako sa likuran namin. Tulog din ang mga Royalties at hindi pa rin nagigising sa maingay na bulungan ng mga pasahero dahil nga sa malapit na kami sa destination.
"Gising na." Sabi ko sa likuran at bumangon agad si Chyros kaya tinulungan niya agad akong manggising.
"Get up. We're arriving in a few minutes." I started waking Kurt up. I stiffened when I saw his lips, as usual nanghina na naman ako.
I tapped his cheeks a little bit harder and that's when he woke up, natawa ako sa inaantok niyang mukha. It's the cutest thing ever.
Like what they announced, nag-landing na rin ang plane. This isn't the first time na nakapunta kami dito but we're still as excited as ever.
We already booked a hotel online kaya alam na namin kung saan kami pupunta, we're still tired and sleepy but we decided to walk nalang instead of taking a cab since mas mae-enjoy namin and it will help us lessen the jet lag.
Walking distance lang naman ang hotel so we have no problem with it.
Nawalan na agad ako kahit pa paano ng stress na dala-dala ko even before our holiday break nang makita ang magandang ambiance ng Singapore. Like I said, I've been here before but it still make me feel good to be in a place that I'm not used to be in. A good new environment helps me with my mental health.
"Good afternoon, welcome to PZ Hotel. Checking in?" The receptionist greeted us.
"We have online reservation." Rhian spoke to the receptionist.
"Under the name?"
"Rhianne Gutierrez."
"Okay, please sign this, Madame." The receptionist pass a paper and pen to Rhian.
"Oh, Mr. Paraz! Good afternoon!" She bowed 90 degree kaya nagtaka kaming lahat, why is she greeting Shawn a little more extra?
"She knows you?" Nagtatakang tanong ni Ella.
Shawn shyly scratched his nape, "This is one of our corporation's subsidiary business.. That's why she knows me."
Nakatanggap ng batok si Shawn galing kay Rhian, Kylie at Chyros, "Why didn't you inform us, you idiot!"
"You didn't ask! Besides, I thought we'll check in sa rival hotel namin kaya I didn't say shit nalang." Loko 'to, mas gusto yatang kumita yung business ng kalaban kaysa yung kanya.
