Third person

The discussion at the table was getting heated, cheers and laughs echoing through the cafeteria. Some people turned to see what the commotion was about while others just ignored. Probably not interested in what the 'snake gang' was conversing about.

The laughs died down as soon as the principal appeared, everyone quietly eating their food. Satisfied with his effect on the students, the principal left the cafeteria, a wide smile on his face.

"Stupid principle."

Dirk stated, annoyed that he had to admit he was wrong so as not to be caught by the fat man.

Payne and Layne teased him as Lance smacked Thelma, resuming their fight. Correy smiled at his friends' behavior. His eyes shifted to the corner of the cafeteria as he continued eyeing the occupants of the table. (He had been watching them as soon as he saw Liam walk in.) And now he couldn't take his eyes off him.

His thoughts seemed to be all over the place, his fingers gripping the fork tightly as he dug it into the vegetables harshly. No one seemed to notice his distress and for this he was thankful.

It was not until Lance smacked his arm that he glanced away from Liam, his lips pursed tightly.

Lance turned to the direction Correy had been gazing at as he sighed and rubbed his brows in frustration.

"Is everything okay?"

Lance questioned, lowering his voice. Correy just nodded as he glared at the vegetables aggrieved. He stood up grabbing his bag as he made up an excuse before leaving the cafeteria, his food untouched.

No one at the table questioned his behavior, all of them buying the lie he made, all except Lance. He fought against the idea of actually following Correy. He let him have his space, not wanting to seem intrusive.

Correy made his way to the library. He had about thirty minutes left before the next class could start. He chose a sparse corner, took out the current novel he was reading and tried to concentrate on it.

All this was in vain. He couldn't stop thinking about Liam. He had researched about him and learnt that 'Liam' was his first name.

He admitted that he was mad at the fact that Liam was irritated by him from their last meeting. What was he expecting honestly?

It suddenly dawned on him that he was taking the whole situation wrongly. He was acting clingy like what the 'wanna be divas' would act like after been saved. He put himself in Liam's shoes and got the clear picture of what Liam might have been thinking of him.

He groaned silently wishing he would not have approached the muscular boy. Nothing could be reversed though. All he could do was promise himself not to get into Liam's way again.

The rest of the day went pretty much fast and soon classes were over. Dylan rushed to Correy's class, informing him that he couldn't take him home since he had a date with the cheer leader. Dirk was supposed to take him home though.

After making sure Correy was tucked safely in Dirk's G Wagon, Dylan rushed off to his own car where his date was already in. Correy only managed to see the girl's blonde hair as his brother's car drove past them hurriedly.

He turned to Dirk giggling softly after seeing the toned boy try to clear his seat where a bra and a used condom could be spotted.

"Sorry about that."

Dirk stated, a blush dusting his cheeks. Correy nodded as he hummed the classic music Dirk had put on a moment earlier. The ride home was silent, each boy occupied with their's own thoughts. It didn't take long and soon Correy was home stuffing his stomach with hot chocolate and freshly baked cookies.

*************

Liam sighed as he watched the G Wagon drive off the school grounds. He leaned off the wall as he made his way to his motorcycle where his two friends were waiting.

"What took you so long?"

The cheerful, smiling boy asked. Liam shrugged not intent on answering him. The boy only smiled as he chuckled softly, his baby brown eyes darting from Liam to Rusty, Liam's other friend.

Rusty was always moody, a scowl always present on his face. How the three of them bonded, no one could tell. They were so different yet somewhat similar in a way.

"I'll meet you two later."

Liam stated, adjusting his hoodie. He gave the two of them a subtle nod as he drove his motorcycle out of the school and on to the main highway.

Rusty turned towards the smiley boy, Tate, nudging him with his shoulder. Tate glanced at Rusty, still smiling.

"How do you get home?"

Tate asked as he took out his phone already dialing his chauffeur. Rusty patiently waited as the two conversed, planning on where to meet.

Tate turned to him, smiling as he brushed some of Rusty's brown wavy locks that had fallen from his loose bun out of his eyes resulting to Rusty smacking his hand, cursing profanities at him. Tate just chuckled as he lead the pair out of school to where they were supposed to meet their ride home.
