Reign

I closed my eyes as his lips gently touched mine. The kiss was short before he pulled away, looking me in my eyes, giving me a guilty
glance before looking away and back to me

I knew I shouldn't but I leaned in again, assuring him I didn't mind. Our lips moved together perfectly as if they had done for years.

I enjoyed every moment of it until he pulled away for some air. His cheeks were flushed a rosy red hue and his lips were slightly swollen

His left arm was still tightly wrapped around my torso, keeping me near him while his right hand snaked from my cheek down to my arm, holding it tightly but gently at the same time

He was definitely the better twin. He not only respected me and my views, but also understood me on a level Joey never could

We floated in the water in a comfortable silence, looking into each other's eyes until one of the most embarrassing things happened

My stomach grumbled so loud. I felt my cheeks flush blood red as I dropped my head, an embarrassed smile tugging on the corners of my mouth

Jay attempted to stifle his laugh but it didn't exactly work. He chuckled under his breath as I hit his chest

"Stop laughing, I had no breakfast" I said keeping my head down, swimming to the edge

I got out and sat next to my bag, pulling out a share bag of Cheetos. I opened them and started eating a few when Jay turned around in the water to face me

"Oo let me have some" he said swimming towards the edge, getting out and heading towards me

"No" I frowned tucking them into me where he couldn't get any

"Why?" He whined

"You laughed at me, not fair" I stated, grabbing a Cheeto quick before he could get his hands on any

"Please" he begged

I shook my head, making him give me puppy dog eyes. I tried not to look at him but those hazel eyes made me give in every single time

I passed over the Cheetos, making a smile appear on his face. He stuck his hand in, taking a few and passing the bag back over to me

We ate a few more before I put the half full bag back in my backpack. We laid and talked on the side of the pond for the next hour or so, listening to the quiet music Jay put on in the background

Although I shouldn't have, I told Jay about what Joey said about me, making sure he knew everything was fake

He was extremely disappointed in his brother and attempted to apologise on his behalf, although I didn't accept it

"There's no point in you apologising Jay, you can't change the way he is" I sighed

"I know, but it's extremely embarrassing knowing I'm related to such an idiot" he replied

I chuckled under my breath, not envying Jay's situation in the slightest. We'd been here for 5 hours already and I didn't want to leave, this was by far the best day I'd had in months

Just seeing Jay's face made me extremely happy and listening to his deep voice echo around the place added to my joy

With it being 4:30 in the afternoon though, the wind began to pick up around me, sending chills through me

"I think I'm gonna go change, I'm getting cold" I said standing up, brushing a few leaves off of me

"Okay" he said looking up admiring my body

I tried to ignore the lines his eyes were tracing on my body as I walked away, he made no effort to hide where he was looking

I hid behind a tree, different from the one earlier as this one was slightly wider. I dried myself and changed back into my normal clothes, parting my almost dry hair in the middle

I returned to see him still laid, making me want to join him again but he got up before I could lay next to him

"We should get going, it's getting late" he said brushing debris from his body which I couldn't help but stare at

A smirk pulled at the edges of his mouth when he realised what was captivating my eyesight

"Like what you see?" He smiled cockily

I blushed, looking away and slinging my backpack over my shoulders. He gathered his belongings and we trekked back to the car

We slung our belongings in the back before slumping in the front seats, tired out

"I don't envy you having to drive all the way home" I laughed as his misfortune

"Stop being cheeky or you'll be walking home" he said turning to me

"Oh will I now" I chuckled

"Yeah right whatever"
