Grabbing the bag out of Reign's hand, I followed her into the hospital for the millionth time. Walking to the front desk, I stood by her as she told her details to the staff member

Suddenly, she was hunched over in pain, rocking back and forth until the ache subsided

"I'm peeing!" She squealed

"I can't stop, I'm so sorry"

"They're your waters Miss Wilson. Come on, we need to get you in a room" a midwife said, gently gripping her waist and leading her away

"I-. Do I clean this or?" I mumbled, referring to the puddle

Another midwife simply laughed and brushed me away. I tiptoed over the liquid and ran after Reign, trying to find exactly where she was

I followed twisted corridors until I finally caught up to her walking into an empty room. It was nicely decorated and ready for a baby

The fact scared me to death

I'm going to be a father in a number of hours

The fuck?!

The midwife helped Reign into her hospital gown while I arranged her hospital bag, pulling out anything that she might need. I couldn't handle my excitement when I pulled out the fluffy bear onesie ready for my little one

It was beyond me how small it was and how a real human is going to fit into it in a couple of hours

"Can I see how far along you are sweetheart?" The midwife asked Reign

She nodded and propped her legs up on the bed. The midwife did her thing and removed the gloves, throwing them in the bin nearby

"Well you're 5cm dilated which is halfway, it shouldn't take too much longer but at this point we can't be sure. I'll come back and check on you in a bit" she smiled, walking out

Reign nodded again and turned to me

"Are you ready?" I questioned her

She chuckled

"No"
