Jay

I stood there, half of me feeling guilty and the other half feeling nothing but sympathy for Reign. She was in tears, her whole day had been a mess and I didn't help

"I'm gonna go and get our things from the car, I assume you're staying here?" I asked her awkwardly

She just nodded, not daring to look up to me. I walked out to the car and grabbed all of our belongings. Even Joey's even though he'd just gone completely crazy

I put my bags in my room, Joey's in his and Reign's I'm the spare bedroom we had next to mine. I changed into my own clothes to make things a little less awkward

The time was already 6, the time when we usually had our evening meal. My mum called me down and I joined the table, sitting next to Reign

We all ate, Joey's seat completely empty the whole time. It was quiet without him, rather strange too

Finishing my meal, I excused myself up to my bedroom, deciding to text Joey to see where he was

Where are you? You've missed dinner

How ignorant can someone get?

I laid on the bed, turning on my dusty tv that was placed on the wall in the corner of my room. I flicked it over to Netflix, scrolling through the options, not paying attention

Reign

"Thank you Jen, it was lovely" I fake smiled before walking up to the spare room where I found all my bags. I changed into some shorts and a loose t-shirt, pulling my laptop and earphones from my main bag

It connected to the internet immediately, reminding me of the last time I was here

That fateful party that broke us apart, and here I am again, broken apart from the both of them at their house

I laid town and turned my MacBook on, opening netflix and deciding on what I wanted to watch. A movie caught my eye as I aimlessly scrolled

'Dismissed'

I mean, it had Dylan Sprouse in it, I had to watch it now. I reluctantly pressed play and to my surprise, it intrigued me, so I carried on watching

I'd been watching it for about an hour when I heard a faint knock through my earphones. Pulling one out, I listened to make sure it wasn't sound effects from my laptop

"Reign, you there?" I heard

"Yeah, why?" I asked, unsure of who it was

"Can I speak to you? I want to apologise"

"Yeah, sure. Come in" I replied, wiggling up in my bed

It was Jay and he had the guiltiest look plastered on his face

"What's up?" I asked, not really too mad at him

He sat at the end of my bed, facing me

"I just wanted to say I was sorry, I didn't want to agree to Joey's plan but I didn't really have a choice" he sighed

"It's fine, honestly" I smiled

"Are you sure?" He questioned

"Yeah, but how did you do it?" I asked

"What do you mean?" He replied

"How did you swap without me noticing?"

"I drove us to your house and when you went inside, Joey and I swapped clothes and seats, so Joey drove from your house to here and I sat in the back with you"

"Oh" was all I could say

"So, you forgive me?"

"Yeah, sure" I said

"Thank you" he grinned

He stood up, walking towards my door when I stopped him. I stood up, walking towards him and taking him into my arms. He was reluctant but he soon hugged back, making me feel comforted

"I just wanted to say thank you" I mumbled against his chest

"What for?" He asked

"You've just always been there no matter what and I'm extremely grateful for that"

"Don't worry about it, always will be" he replied pulling away holding onto my shoulders

We stared into each other's eyes. The situation wasn't awkward, more of a comfortable silence than anything. I could see a hesitant look on his face but it soon changed

He began leaning in and so did I

It was wrong, but it felt right

Joey

I stormed upstairs, opening Jay's bedroom door, looking for him. I'd checked every room apart from the spare bedroom that was placed next to his room

I timidly opened the door to see a sight I didn't expect, my girlfriend and my twin brother's lips locked together passionately

The pulled away from each other in a millisecond, letting go of each other completely

"What the actual fuck?" I fumed

They both stammered, not able to get any words out

"Save it, it's clear you want him more than me" I spat to Reign, leaving and slamming the door loudly
