I sat behind my desk, looking at him. It was beyond me how he'd already been having therapy with me for 5 months today

I couldn't believe it. He'd improved so much, I could see it in his appearance. His septum was healing well and his skin was returning to a normal, tanned shade

I'd never been more proud of anyone

Despite our past, I've loved spending time and helping him, always thinking of the experience as a reward

"Uh, Reign?" He chuckled, snapping his fingers in front of me

"Sorry" I sniffled, zoning back

"I'm just so proud. I can't believe your therapy is over already" I smiled, wiping my eyes gently

"Don't cry, please" he said

Standing up, he walked around to my side of the desk and hugged me, holding me tight. He towered over me and he still smelled the same as he did in high school and college

"Thank you for helping me, Reign. You're amazing" he murmured

"You're welcome. You've been the best, Joey" I replied, still tucked into him

He pulled away, holding onto my arms gently

"How about dinner together sometime next week?" He smiled

I couldn't help but let a cheesy grin cover my face

"I'd love that" I giggled

Picking up a pen from my desk, he sprawled his number across a spare page in my diary before giving me a cheeky smirk and leaving my office

Now, he was the only man on my mind
