Reign

All week I hadn't seen Joey once at school. He'd usually walk specific routes to see me in the corridors but I haven't seen him at all

I haven't even seen Toby for that matter, bearing in mind that they're both in my classes as well

It was Friday night, no one knew about mine and Jay's day tomorrow. I decided to keep it private because I really want us to work

I was packing my backpack with things I needed. Sunglasses, charger, earphones, bikini, towel and snacks

I think that's it. I'll just pack the rest tomorrow before I go. I climbed into bed, turning my lamp off and plugging my phone in to charge

Rolling over in bed, I drifted away thinking about where Jay's gonna take me tomorrow

I woke up to the sound of my alarm. It was 9 am, I only had an hour to get ready. I got out of bed, stretching in the process

I walked over to my closet, looking through my clothes. I could already tell it was going to be a hot summers day today so I chose a pair of shorts and a crop top

Taking a quick shower, I got dressed and brushed my hair, applying some light make up

I looked at myself in my mirror, making sure I looked okay. I grabbed my backpack and phone and walked downstairs, waiting on the sofa

I'd been sat around 5 minutes when my phone vibrated

I'm outside your house

I put on some trainers and locked the door on the way out since my dad wasn't in. There was a massive Range Rover parked in front of my house

I got in the front seat, putting my backpack on the back seat

"You ready?" He asked

"Yep" I nodded

He drove away from my house, giving me the aux cord

"Play whatever" he smiled

I plugged my phone in and began playing 'how did I get here' by ODESZA

After an hour and a half of driving, he finally pulled into an empty car park which was surrounded by forrest

We were in the middle of nowhere

"Jay, where are we?" I asked, a tad worried

"Do you trust me?" He asked

"Well yeah ,I suppose" I answered

"Okay, follow me then"

He got out the car and grabbed his backpack, as did I. He took me through the trees, the strong sun glimmering on his dark hair

We finally came to an opening and I was shocked at what I saw. A massive turquoise pond surrounded with what I could only describe as pure magic

The sunlight bounced off the calm water, making everything seem fairytale like

"How do you know about this place?" I asked in shock

"I used to come here all the time with my mum and brother but we stopped a few years ago because they both lost interest" he sighed

"But I've always wanted to return so I brought you. I hope you like it" he said turning to me

"Of course I do! It's magical  I mean just look!" I exclaimed

His face lit up as he smiled

"So, do you want to swim?" He asked

I nodded

He began to take his clothes off until he was left in his swim shorts. I then realised that I'd not put my bikini on before I came, it was still in my bag

"Is there anywhere to get changed? I don't have my bikini on" I asked

He looked around, focusing on a large tree behind us

"Well there's that tree over there, I'm sure that'll cover you" he said pointing to it

I walked over and hid behind it, getting changed as quickly and as covered as I could be. I stuffed my clothes into my bag and walked back over to Jay, dropping my bag next to his

"Last one in's a rotten egg!" I shouted running and jumping in

"That's not fair! Get out I'll race you in" he said

"Why would I want to race a rotten egg?" I laughed

He scoffed and jumped in, creating the biggest splash which drenched my face and hair. While I was wiping the water off my face so I could see, I felt something grab ahold of my leg, pulling me down

I opened my eyes and looked down to see Jay underwater tugging at my leg. I began to laugh, attempting to kick his hands off my ankle

He soon let go, coming up for air, a massive smile plastered on his face

"Stop being so silly" I giggled pushing him away

"Me? Silly?" He questioned

"You haven't even seen silly me" he laughed

He began tickling me making me burst out laughing and squirm under his touch

"Jay" I laughed

"Stop- I'm begging" I managed to say between my loud giggles

My stomach muscles began to hurt as I felt myself struggle to stay afloat above the water. My breath was taken away as I began to sink, going unnoticed by Jay as his hands clung onto my torso

He didn't stop until he saw I was drifting down into the pond. He grabbed me before I sunk even further and brung me to the surface, finally letting my get my first real breath in minutes

"I'm so sorry, I got carried away" he said panicked as he brushed my wet hair from my face and behind my ear

I took many deep breaths before answering

"It's fine"

He smiled, continuing to brush my hair away from my face. He still was carrying me under the water as our faces got closer and closer

I could feel my heart rate quickening up, his warm breath fanning on my lips. I looked up to see his eyes closed and his face coming closer and closer to mine
