Reign

I slipped on my heels before grabbing my bag and leaving my apartment, locking the door behind me. Strutting down the corridor, I flattened my dress whilst I headed for the elevator

I pressed the button and waited for it to open. When it finally did, I stepped in and pressed the button for the ground floor. The was already a young man in with me so I kept my distance as he seemed a bit shady

When the doors finally opened, I stepped out and made my way to my car. My black Audi was my baby, the only aesthetically pleasing thing that kept me sane

I unlocked it and sat in, starting up the engine and pulling away into the road. It was still quite early so I made my way to the nearest coffee shop

I parked up and locked my car, stepping inside. My heels clacked on the floor, drawing everyone's attention to me

"What can I get you?" the barista asked me

"Uh, can I have the pineapple iced tea please?" I smiled

"Sure. Name?" She questioned

"Reign" I answered

She nodded, writing my name on the cup

"$3.42 please"

"Keep the change" I smiled, handing her a $5 bill

"Thank you, your drink will be down there when it's ready" she smiled, putting the spare change in a charity box and pointing to the end of the counter

I walked over to the end of the counter and waited with a few other people. I saw someone at the side of me, subtly taking me in. From what I could see, he was tall, dark and handsome

How stereotypical, I know

"Hey" he spoke up

I turned to him and sent him a warm smile

"Just thought I'd tell you that you look really pretty" he grinned at me

It was cute and it sent a blush to my cheeks

"Thank you" I gushed

"No problem. Where are you going? You look very professional" He asked

"Oh, I'm just going to work" I answered

"Where do you work, if you don't mind me asking?" He questioned

"Not at all. I'm a psychologist. I help people with overcoming addictions to drugs and alcohol" I smiled

"Oh, so you're smart, smart" he chuckled

"I suppose you could say so, yeah" I giggled

"I don't think I caught your name" he said

"My name's Reign. And yours is?" I asked

"Ethan" he smiled

"A pineapple iced tea for Reign!"

"Well, Ethan. It was nice talking to you but that's my cue to go" I smiled

Grabbing my drink, I was about to leave when he tapped my shoulder gently. I turned to see him shyly smiling

"Could I maybe get your number, take you out sometime?" He asked

The blush crept back up again and I couldn't help but feel flattered at his comment

"Sure" I smiled, writing my number on a napkin and giving it to him

"See you later" I smiled at him before finally walking away and back to my car

Putting my drink in the cup holder, I started the engine once again and began driving my way towards my office. It didn't take long and I was parked up before I knew it

I held onto my tea, sipping it and I got out of my car. I grabbed my bag from the passenger side and locked the car, heading towards the building

"Good morning Miss Wilson" the receptionist smiled from behind her computer

"Morning" I returned the smile, walking inside the elevator, pressing the button for the 5th floor

Once I'd made it to my office, I opened the door and slumped in my chair, dropping my bag on the desk next to my computer. The phone rang and I tiredly picked it up

"Miss Wilson, I have your next client file. Am I okay to bring it up to you?" My assistant, Benji, asked

"Sure, bring it up" I replied before putting the phone back down

I waited for him to arrive and was brought out of my thoughts when I heard a knock at the door

"Come in" I said

Benji walked in and placed the folder on my desk in front of me

"Thank you" I said before he walked out

He sent me a shy smile before carefully closing the door behind him. Intrigued about my next client, I opened the folder, reading the information
