Reign

It was a week after me and Jay spent the day together and we'd organised to go shopping together today. I was excited as shopping was one of my favourite things to do in my spare time

It was 11:47, he was picking me up at 12 so I hurriedly finished my make up and brushed my hair out, ridding it of any knots

I put on my leather jacket as I slung my bag over my shoulder. I jogged downstairs, putting my trainers on and tying them to fit my feet properly

I was about to sit down when the doorbell rang. I looked through the peep hole to see Jay holding a small bouquet of flowers which made my stomach tumble

I opened the door to see him smiling widely. He handed the the flowers as I welcomed him into my house. He stood by the front door as I went to put the gorgeous flowers in a vase

Walking back, I smiled warmly at him

"You didn't have to get those, Jay" I said as I couldn't hide my childish grin

"They reminded me of you" he said, ignoring my small complaint

I reached up and planted a kiss on his cheek, making them flush crimson red. We walked out the door, locking it behind us before walking to Jay's car

He opened my door, allowing me to sit in before closing it and getting in the driver's side. He drove off down the road to the shopping centre, making me excited for the day ahead

Jay gave me the keys to his car, leaving me to walk through the seemingly empty car park as he stayed back to pay for his parking

I kept the keys concealed in my hand as I passed a rough looking group who looked about my age

"Looking good mami" one shouted

"Hey babygirl, what's your number?" another asked

I was used to cat calling so I ignored them and continued walking past them to Jay's car that I could see ahead of me

"Answer me then are you fucking deaf?" he shouted, I could feel him approaching me

"Watch your mouth" I said as I turned, giving him the dirtiest look I'd ever given

"Who do you think you're talking to?" He laughed as he began approaching me quicker and quicker, I could see the smoke pouring from his cigarette behind me

I was begging for Jay to save me now, my nerves were creeping up on me but I wasn't going to let them show

"I'd prefer not to talk to a scum like you actually" I sneered as I approached Jay's car

The shady teen was about the reach for me when Jay spoke up, making all my anxiety exit my body

"Leave her alone" his voice boomed through the car park

The boy behind me turned and began to laugh, his facial tattoos scrunching around his eyes

"Ah Joseph, nice to see you again" He snickered

"Jay actually, now if you could leave my girl alone I'd appreciate that" he said walking up to me

My heart fluttered as he spoke the words

"my girl"

I unlocked his car as we both got in, handing him the keys allowing him to drive away from the dodgy looking teens

"Thank god you came at the time you did" I sighed in relief to him

"I can't have anyone hurting you now can I?" He said raising a brow, looking at me for a second before returning his vision back to the road ahead

"Hurting your girl?" I questioned

"my girl"
