Athena, Rosie, Leilani and I were sat on my bed scheming on how to get revenge on Joey. We'd been through countless ideas, all of which I'd turned down because I knew they wouldn't work

"Oo Oo no, I have one!" Rosie said breaking the silence

"What?" I asked

"How about you get into a relationship with Jay. That'll really piss Joey off" she laughed

"Yes oh my god you should do that!" Leilani exclaimed

"Girls I don't know about-"

"It's the perfect idea, please, for us?" Athena begged

I sighed

"Fine, okay. I guess that'll have to do" I smiled

They all cheered in unison

"He will not be expecting this" Rosie giggled

"I can't wait to see his reaction" Athena said

We worked out a plan until 6 when they had to leave

"I'll text you later after I've called him!" I shouted as they walked down the street away from my house

They smiled and gave me a thumbs up before turning and walking further away out of my sight

I closed and locked the door before running back up to my bedroom and opening up messages

I clicked on Jay's contact and began typing

Hey, I hope everything's okay between us?

I waited and waited and waited for a reply. I was about to give up when my phone vibrated on my bed

I'm fine if you're fine

Yeah, I don't have a problem

Okay cool, how are you and Joey?

I'd rather not talk about him

Ah okay, wanna ft?

Okay :)

I saw his contact come in my screen, answering immediately. He smiled at me, I could tell it was Jay because his hair was slightly longer than Joey's

"Hey" he smiled

"Hi" I said coming into frame

"How are you, you know, after Saturday?" He asked

"I'm fine, Joey's just mad at me but I'm putting it behind me" I answered

"Is he really that bothered that I'm going to get you first?" He chuckled

I blushed

"I guess so yeah" I giggled

"Well it's too bad because I'm not changing my mind anytime soon" he said, his eyes returning to me through the screen

I couldn't help but blush

"Awe look, she's blushing" he teased

"Oh stop it" I hid my face away until I'd returned to a normal colour

We spoke for the next hour about school and what happened at the party, just random things to keep the conversation going

"You should meet me sometime" he said

"What do you mean?" I questioned

"You know, like spend a day together or something" he answered

There wasn't an ounce of nervousness in his voice, I don't know how he did it

"What would we do?" I asked

"I don't know, I could drive us somewhere nice?" He replied

I nodded

"You wanna do that sometime?" He asked

"Yeah, sure" I smiled

"Okay, how about this Saturday? I'll pick you up at 10?" He questioned

"Mhm" I hummed

"Oh, bring a swimming costume" he said before ending the call

I smiled to myself out of pure excitement

Joey really is gonna hate me
