Thank you for 62k and 3.7k. How?!

Reign

Week by week, my stomach grew bigger and bigger and I was 4 months before I knew it

"Joey, are you ready?" I shouted through the apartment

"Yeah, hold on" he replied

Pulling my top over my bump, I leant against the door, twirling the car keys around my finger. My scan was in 10 minutes and it easily takes 15 minutes to get to the hospital

So at this rate, I'm going to be late

Letting out a frustrated sigh, I unlocked the front door and stepped outside, unlocking the car

"I'm going Joey, I'm gonna be late. I'll see you later" I shouted inside the house before sitting in the driver's side of my car

"I'm coming! I'm coming!" He shouted, stumbling through the door while trying to slip his shoes on

Quickly locking the front door behind him, he ran to the car and slid in the passenger seat. I didn't give him any time to get his seat belt on before I started the engine and sped out of the drive way

Going quicker than I probably should, I turned the corners and raced down the roads to the hospital. Continuously looking at the clock, time seemed to slip away and I really couldn't afford to be late

Turning the final corner, I pulled into a parking space outside the hospital, grabbed my bag and headed towards the entrance, locking the car after Joey had got out too

He traipsed behind me as I checked in, one minute before my appointment was booked. Sighing a breath of relief, I sat down next to Joey

"What were you even doing in the bathroom for 15 minutes?" I asked

"What, me?" He replied

I nodded

"Having a mini mental breakdown" he stated casually

"What. Why?" I questioned

"Just felt like it. Haven't had one in a while, you know" he smiled

"Uh, yeah-"

"Reign Wilson?" I was cut off

"You coming?" I turned to Joey

He nodded before standing up and following the nurse and I to a room

"Okay, if you'd like to lay down and just roll your top up" she gestured to the bed

I did so while Joey sat down in the chair next to me. After the nurse put the freezing gel on my stomach, she placed the scanner down on top, slightly pressing down

I could see our baby on the screen, small and curled up, their heart beating along with mine steadily. A wide smile spread on my face as I looked at Joey, his face holding the same expression

"Do you want to know the gender?" The nurse asked

Looking at Joey, I shot him an unsure face

"It's up to you, my love, I don't mind" he said

My mind ticked over the two choices I had

"Uh. No thank you, I'll wait"
