27: Face-Off 2 (Rara Vs. Eun)

"WHY do you hate Vika?" tanong ni Rara kay Eun pagkatapos niyang sumimsim ng green tea. Magkatapat sila sa table for two sa pinakasulok na parte ng café. Kaunti rin ang customers do'n kaya nakakapag-usap sila nang hindi nag-aalalang may ibang nakikinig sa kanila. Saka pinauwi na rin ni Eun si Spence kanina. "And why are you looking at me like I offend you?"

"I just can't believe that you are Vika's cousin. Common surname kasi ang Sandoval kaya hindi ko naisip na magpinsan kayo," matapat na sagot ni Eun habang nakahawak lang sa mug ng hot chocolate na kanina pa nito hindi iniinom. "I'm sorry. I know that you care a lot about her but to us, she's a despicable person."

"'Us?'" tanong niya rito, saka niya hiniwa ng bread knife ang sausage roll sa plato sa harapan niya. "Sino-sino ang 'us' na 'to?"

"Me. Spence. Sdyney," sagot nito, saka ito napalunok muna bago nagpatuloy. "Kiha."

"Kiha," pag-uulit niya sa pangalang ngayon niya lang narinig. Kumagat at kumain muna siya ng sausage roll bago nagpatuloy. "Who is she?"

"A childhood friend of mine that I treat like a real sister," sagot nito. "She's the same age as me. And she had been very much involved in Vika's affair before."

"How?"

"Kiha is Kuya Weston's real girlfriend."

"Excuse me?" hindi makapaniwalang sabi niya. "Ini-imply mo ba na other girl lang ni Weston Rivera ang pinsan ko?"

"That's the truth," seryosong deklara ng lalaki. "My family is good friends with her family. It's a well-known fact that our family owns shopping malls, exclusive subdivisions, huge waterpark resorts, and that our business mainly revolves around land development. Kiha's family isn't publicly well-known but that doesn't mean they're below us. Hindi naman kasi lahat ng mayamang pamilya eh lumalabas sa public o sa media. Anyway, kahit hindi in love sa kanya si Kuya Weston, my brother has no choice but to stick with her. Ayaw kasi ng kapatid ko na masira ang relationship ng family namin sa family nila para makuha niya ang favor ni Daddy. Pero it doesn't also mean na natutuwa sa kanya ang kuya ko. "Magde-decide ako kapag narinig ko na ang story mo."

"Alright," pagpayag naman ni Eun, saka ito tumingin ng deretso sa mga mata niya. "Two months ago, Vika asked Weston to secretly film his... intimate moment with Kiha."

"What?"

Namula ang mukha ng lalaki. "A sex video."

To say that she was surprised would be an understatement– she was shocked! "I can't believe it," nanghihinang sabi niya. "Are you telling me that Vika asked Weston to make a sex video without Kiha's consent?" Nang tumango lang si Eun, nagpatuloy siya. "At ano naman ang ginawa nila sa sex tape na 'yon?"

"Vika threatened to post the video online if Kiha doesn't breakup with Kuya Weston," paliwanag nito. "My brother doesn't care if the video gets leaked because his face doesn't show up in the vid. 'Yong mukha lang ni Kiha ang makikita ro'n."
