A/N listen to "What Would I Do?"

Being apart of the legal system is hard as it is. But being apart of the legal system and being your loved ones lawyers is even harder.

When Whizzer accepted his first real case, he was over the moon. That day he ran home to tell his friends and family. But all he saw when he arrived was Trina crying, Cordelia and Charlotte holding each other and Mendel throwing his police badge on the floor.

"What's wrong?" Whizzer asked. Mendel sighed and told him to sit down.

"I had to arrest Marvin today. As much as I didn't want to he...Whizzer he killed a man." Mendel slumped onto the floor.

He froze and looked down at the folder in his hands. He gulped and slowly opened it to the first page.

"No. I can't take this case." Whizzer gasped.

"Why?" Cordelia asked. She walked over to him and wrapped her arms round him.

"It's Marvin's."

The next few months were spent fighting to prove that Marvin was innocent. But all the evidence pointed towards him. Then his time was spent trying to lower his sentence. But, to Whizzer's horror, more murders came to light. 8 to be exact.

Today was the day of Marvin would get his sentencing. Whizzer wasn't ready. He sat in his chair. Marvin next to him.  He stood up and stared at the judge.

"Your Honour, I know this isn't a done this but the writer wants to add in a section about personal questions even though she knows that it doesn't happen and it's it's completely in accurate. Can this happen?" Whizzer asked.

The judge stares into space for a few minutes "I will allow it. I have to. I have no control over my speech"

Marvin was lead to the stand and Whizzer stood in-front of him.

"Mr Feldman. I am going to ask you a few questions. I would like you to answer with yes or no. Nothing else. Is that clear?" Marvin nodded his head. "These victims of yours. Did you know them?"

"Yes"

"Were they you friends?"

"No"

"Lovers?"

"Yes"

"Did you love them?"

"Yes"

"Do you love me?"

"Yes Whizzer.  Why would I n..."

"Yes and No is the only answers I want remember Marvin. Did you want to kill them?"

"Yes"

"Is that's why you loved them?"

"Yes"

"Would you of killed me?

Silence filled the room.

"Answer my question Marvin!" Whizzer snapped.

"No. I could never hurt you" Marvin replied and Whizzer released a breath he didn't know he had been holding.

"That's all. Thank you your honour."

Whizzer left the courtroom after that. He would find out later one that Marvin had been put on death row. (A/N I think this is how it works. I really don't know. I did my research but it confused me)

~~Time Skip because you have to be on death row for a minimum amount of time before they kill you~~

Whizzer hadn't seen or spoken to Marvin in 15 years. He had letters from the man but he never answered he was ashamed to call him his lover. But two letters caught his attention when he read it. One from Marvin. One anonymous. He read the one from Marvin first.

Hello Whizzer,

I know you never reply to my letter but I'm hoping you will pay attention to this one. This is my last week on death row. I die by electric chair February 14th at 12pm. Yep. Valentine's Day. I'll be thinking of you. I still love you Whizzer. I never stopped. I wish you would have visited me like the others have. I know you hate me but, please, remember me. Remember as the guy you lived not the criminal. Remember the good parts and forget the bad parts. I love you Whizzer.

Marvin xx

Whizzer checked the time. Marvin had an hour left to live. He brushed off the sadness he felt and opened the anonymous letter.

Dear Whizzer Brown,

I wish I had found and sent you these files earlier. But I only just found them. These prove that Marvin is innocent. They have the wrong man. Marvin is covering for someone else. Someone who has more power that anyone. Take these files and go save that innocent man.

Whizzer read the files. Marvin was innocent all along. He grabbed his car keys and ran to the car. He had 30 minuets to get there and stop everything. Whizzer sped through the traffic. He didn't care how many laws he was breaking. The only thing on his mind was Marvin.

When he arrived at the prison. He shouted at the people at front desk to let him in. He shook the files around and his ID badge until they let him in.

Meanwhile, Trina sat with Cordelia and Charlotte behind a glass panel and Mendel led Marvin to the chair. Trina buried her face in Cordelia's shoulder. Charlotte moved to the other side of Trina and rubbed her back. Mendel held his breath as he tied the straps around Marvin's body.

"I'm sorry Marvin." Mendel managed to choke out.

"What's done is done." Marvin replied with a small smile. Inside he was frightened.

"Is there anything you would like to say?" Mendel asked as he wiped his eyes.

"Tell Jason to stay strong. Tell Trina that I'm sorry for breaking her heart again. Tell Cordelia to keep cooking and that I wish I could have had it as my last meal. Tell Charlotte to keep saving lives. Look after them all Mendel. Keep them safe. Keep an eye on Whizzer for me. And tell him that I truly do love him and that I would never of hurt him." Marvin sighed. He felt tears run down his cheeks. "Tell him that I wish that I could hold him for one hour more"

Whizzer sprinted down the corridors. He pushed by people. He ran through the doors and into the correct building. He smiled. He kept running.

The door was in sight.

He was only 15 feet away from saving the man he loved.

The man he could now spend the rest of his life with.

Nothing could stop him.

And yet,

He stopped.

He dropped to the floor files in hand.

He screamed louder than he ever had before. He felt as though his lung were being ripped from his chest.

He pushed himself up against a wall. He wanted to see Marvin. Whizzer started loosing his breath. The last thing he heard before passing out was Marvin's voice.

"Everything will be alright"

It took months for people to know how Whizzer knew Marvin was dead. They couldn't put their finger on it. What one thing had Whizzer seen that made him stop dead and breakdown?

The answer...

The lights.

He saw them flicker on and off again.
