You Should See Me In Your Crown // Whizzvin

A/N I'm basing this partially around King Henry VIII.

If you don't know, Henry VIII was and English King from 1509 - 1547. He is well known for creating the Church if England, His hatred for France, Having 6 wives over the course of his reign. Anyway, let's begin.

A few characters in this will be made up.

When Marvin was bored of his kingly duties, he would hold a feast. Not so he could relax or to catch up with old friends. No, the only reason for these celebrations was to see who he could replace his current spouse with in the next few months.

First was Trina. A bright, young woman and Marvin's first love. They were married for 24 years. As much as Trina still loved Marvin, he couldn't return the favour. He had his eyes on someone else. That someone was a young man who has just strolled into court. He soon divorced her and moved on.

Second came Adam. But after 3 years, Adam found his head beginning detached from his body. Apparently Marvin didn't take lightly to adulterous action.

Third was Kevin. People say that Kevin was his favourite spouse. The pair did everything together. But their love didn't last long. After 17 months and absolutely bliss, Kevin became ill and sadly died.

Marvin was thrown into a state of mourning. But soon found love again when he saw the portrait of a young man called Scott. That marriage was shortly lived. They got divorced a few months later. 6 months to be precise. Marvin claimed it was because Scott didn't look like his portrait. Scott claimed it was because Marvin was eyeing up his next lover.

Up next was a young man named Alfie. He was 19 to be precise. But unknown to Marvin, Alfie didn't like being tied down. After 16 months of marriage, Alfie was executed. Adultery was definitely not the way to Marvin's heart.

But now here he sat, scanning the room. Watching for the right person to come through the door and into the Hall. He's sat and watch as people danced and drank all night. But then someone caught his eye.

He was standing against the wall hold a jug of wine. Even though he couldn't enjoy the fun, he smiled as he watched the guest dance and laugh. Marvin knew the man was dying to join in with the fun. So he did something he never thought he would do.

Marvin beckoned his personal servant over. "You see that man standing against the wall there. Tell him to wait outside my chambers in 5 minuets." The servant nodded and Marvin stood up. As he left the hall people turned to bow.

Marvin had to be quick. He entered his room and and told the servants to leave. As he walked over to his wardrobe, someone knocked on the door.

"Enter!" Marvin shouted.

"You wished to speak to me you majesty ." The man said.

"I do" Marvin answered as he continued to rummage through his clothes. "What's your name?"

"Whizzer sire" he replied.

Whizzer waited in silence. To say he was anxious was an understatement. Whenever a servant entered the kings chambers at the kinds request, you knew they wouldn't leave again the same person. The last servant to do so became the kings spouse and everyone knew how that ended. After a few more moments is silence, the king finally spoke.

"I'm releasing you of your duties."

"Oh...er...thank you for this opportunity you majesty. I've throughly enjoyed working for you. I'll be out by th..."

"No you fool." Marvin turned to face Whizzer holding up some new clothes "I want you to join the feast as my guest. I saw you wanting to join, I thought I'd give you the opportunity. "

"Thank you sire." Whizzer smiled and bowed slightly. Marvin gave him the clothes and told him to change behind the curtain.

Marvin then began to rummage through his draws to find some nice rings for Whizzer to borrow. He found a few and heard Whizzer sigh.

"Is everything okay?" Marvin asked. He didn't understand why he was so concerned but he walked closer to where Whizzer was changing.

"I feel like I don't look good. Maybe I should just carry on serving wine" Whizzer confessed.

"Nonsense. Let me see!"

Whizzer stepped out from behind the curtain. Marvin gasped. He hadn't gasped at someone's appearance since Kevin. To Marvin, Whizzer looked flawless. The black clothing matched well with his skin tone and the gold patterns that lined the material made his eyes look brighter.

"You look very handsome." Marvin blurted out.

"Thank you, your highness"

"Please call me Marvin"

For the rest of the night the pair laughed and danced with each other. Marvin was infatuated with how relaxed Whizzer was. And Whizzer could believe how kind the king could be. No one could separate the two. As the night got later and the guests began to leave, Whizzer started to help clear away all the plates and uneaten food.

"Whizzer," Marvin called "what are you doing?"

"I'm doing my job. The nights over now, but I can't thank you enough. I haven't had this much fun in my whole life." Whizzer beamed.

"Follow me." Marvin said. Whizzer places down the food and followed Marvin out into the gardens.

Marvin lead Whizzer to the very middle of the garden and into the centre of the maze.

"I know that not I'm not known as the nicest of people. But I admire you Whizzer. I haven't enjoyed a night like this is so long, I thank you for that. Anyway, I am infatuated by you and I would like to know if you would consider spending more time together" Marvin smiled.

"I would love to Marvin"

In the years to come, a lot would change for the pair. After a few months, they were wed and lived a happy 3 and half months of marriage. Sadly on the 28th January 1547, Marvin passed away due to illness. Whizzer returned to his family home. Just over a year later, Whizzer died also due to complications with illness.

It is known publicly that Kevin was the kings favourite spouse. But deep down in Marvin's heart, Whizzer was the one he truly loved.
