After being postponed. The wedding was finally going ahead. It had been 3 months since the accident. Everything had been planned again. This was it. Their wedding day.

For once, Marvin was calm. He sat with Mendel in a hotel room. They were playing on a Wii that they had managed to sneak in and set up. But maybe Mario Kart wasn't the best game to play before a wedding. Time seems to pass quickly with that game.

"Fuck you shitdick!" Marvin yelled.

"I told you not to choose a bike if you wanted to play race in rainbow road." Mendel laughed.

"What's the time?" Marvin said as he finished in 12th place.

"2:30..."

"SHIT!"

The pair ran down and into Mendel's car. They were half an hour late.

Whizzer was not calm. His fiancé wasn't there. The wedding was running late. Hopefully the day wouldn't get any worse.

"What if he doesn't love me anymore?" Whizzer sighed.

"Don't be stupid! I bet he's just running late!" Trina reassured him.

"How can he be late by 45 minuets." Whizzer cried.

"Guys he's here. He just ran in with Mendel." Whizzer's friend said.

Trina gave Whizzer the "I told you so" look and dragged him out the room and into into the corridors.

Whizzer peaked through the door. At the bottom of the Garden, only 30 feet away, was the love of his life. He took a deep breath and opened the doors. Since his mother and father didn't agree with his choices, Trina walked him down the aisle.

"Deep breaths Whiz." Trina whispered.

Marvin didn't even know Whizzer was behind him. He toned out the music and stared at the floor. He looked up when he felt a hand on his shoulder. Staring back at him was the eyes he fell in love with. The pair weren't listening to anything that was being said. They just stared at each other smiling.

"Marvin, would you like to read aloud your vows"

"Oh yeah sure." Marvin clumsily pulled out a piece of paper. "Right so. Here comes my cheesy side. Whizzer, You are loved more than any metaphor can ever express. I can't promise to love you perfectly, but I vow to love you messily, overwhelmingly, inexorably. You know me better than anyone else in this world and somehow you still manage to love me. You are my best friend and one true love. There is still a part of me today that cannot believe that I'm the one who gets to marry you. I remember when I got that letter back from you.  Ever would I have thought that our friendship would take us this far. And for that I thank you. And I promise to never leave your side again."

"How am I supposed to compete with that?" Whizzer laughed as he wiped away some tears "As the wise Salt n Pepa said, what a man, what a man, what a mighty good man. But on a serious note. Marvin, Never in my life did I think I would end up happy. Never did I think that we could love each other like this. Never did I think we could ever be married. I promise to love you, honor you, but not obey, because that's a little creepy. I love that you and I will spend the rest of our lives together. Somehow my life has come to this amazing moment and now I will always share it with you. I can't wait to get our first dog. And our second. And third. I want many dogs with you okay. I love you Marvin. I'm never going to let you go"

"With that being said" The Ordainer said "I now pronounce you Husband and Husband. You may now kiss your Husband"

Whizzer and Marvin didn't know where life would take them after that day. But I do so here you go...

Whizzer for his 5 dogs after only a 10 months of marriage. It took a lot of persuading. They're called Queen, Marcus, Dolly, Maxwell and Keith.

In 2012, Whizzer decided to surprise Marvin for their first anniversary. He collected all their letters and put them in a scrapbook.

In 2014, Marvin brought Whizzer another dog. She's called Shelia.

Marvin decided that they should move back to Australia when their marriage was legal over there. So I'm 2017, the pair moved over. And by 2018 they adopted their first child. His name is Jason. They plan to adopt more.

In November of 2018, Whizzer got a call from his parents back in Perth. They are working on their relationship still and Whizzer and Marvin went down to their house for Christmas.

Marvin kept his promise to Whizzer. He stayed by him forever. The paired died together in their sleep. They were close to each other. Holding hands and smiling. Marvin was 95. Whizzer was 90.

Distance means nothing when someone means everything
