The cold wind blew and broke off a few stray branches from the trees. The sun was setting and the sky was painted orange. As the leaves were crushed under his shoes and the marked path became a muddy trail, Whizzer decided that it was time to grab his map. As he tried to work out his route he realised that the path he had taken wasn't on the map. He flipped the map over frantically to find the other side blank. Whizzer Brown was lost. In the woods. During sunset. In Autumn. Alone. With no way of contacting anyone.

He had originally laughed at his friends when they said that he would get lost in the wood. They had advised him to take shelter, food and water just incase he needed to stay the night under the safety of the trees. But alas, he had ignored them once again. Just like when he had ignored them when they voiced their opinions on Marvin.

Marvin had been Whizzer's partner many moons ago. They lived their first 9 months - or was it 10 - in complete bliss. But soon things turned sour. And they turned sour quickly. Yes, the couple had fought but that was a natural thing. What wasn't normal was how violet the two could be with each other. Marvin and Whizzer decided to call it quites before one of them got seriously hurt. So now it was just Whizzer. Alone. And wishing he still had his lover.

As Whizzer continued his lonely journey into the dark abyss, branches began to snap around him. If he was in a horror movie he would definitely be dead by now, his sexuality did make him a minority after all. Maybe it was the paranoia setting in, but Whizzer felt the urge to run. So that what he did. Whizzer ran and jumped over tree roots. He never looked back. Not when he heard the foot steps.

It felt like hours since he had started running. It was actually 2 minuets but Whizzer didn't like running long distance, or running in general for that matter. His attempt and long distances was brought to a close when he tripped over a tree root he didn't see. He slid across the rugged ground for a few seconds before the pain smacked him in various places. He tried to stand but the pain in his ankle took him back down the ground. All he could do was hope that the person behind him wasn't a serial killer. No it was worse. It was Marvin.

"Whizzer are you okay? I saw you fall" Marvin asked. His voice sounded concerned but his eyes said sorry?

"Yeah I'm fine." Whizzer replies even though he was far from fine.

"You aren't fine Whiz, you're ankle is the size of a baseball. I think you've sprained. Let's get you up and back to my cabin" Marvin smiled helping his ex-lover up.

"What cabin?" Whizzer asked "I thought you lived in the city?"

"I did but I couldn't afford it on my own after you left. This was the nicest and cheapest place I could find."

After 5 more minuets if walking, they finally made it to Marvin's cabin. He set Whizzer down on the couch and grabbed his first aid kit. Marvin thanked his lucky stars that he decided to go on that first aid course when he was back in high school. He wrapped up Whizzer's ankle and made him a cup of hot chocolate.

"Thanks Marvin did you ad..."

"Two sugars? Yep. "

"And some chocolate..."

"Chocolate dust? Of course"

"And made it with alm..."

"Almond milk because you prefer the flavour even though it taste disgusting to others? How could I forget"

Whizzer smiled. They hadn't seen each other in 2 years, but it felt as though they had never been apart. As he watched Marvin start a fire, all the hate he felt towards him melted away. He missed him.

Remember how he made you feel! Remember how he hurt you! Think about the way you hurt him. Is it worth it?

Yes. Hell yes. Everything was worth it. Marvin had changed. He had a different lifestyle now. It was all new and all new things need exploring.

"I missed you. I mean I can't forget how I loved you. I'm not the type of person to walk away from love. Or an attractive man for that matter. " Whizzer blurted out. It might have been Whizzer's comment or the fact that he was near a fire, but Marvin definitely went a deep shade of red.

"I-er-I missed you too Whiz. I missed you heaps. But then I remember what happened between us and I convince myself it's good that we split then" Marvin confessed and Whizzer nodded. "But that was then. I mean we've changed since then. Right!"

"Yeah. Couples always get back together. Right?"

"Yeah. And I still love you."

"I still love you. But if we are sure we would make it a question "

"Whizzer please take me back." Marvin begged as he sat next to the latter, "I have changed I promise. Living out here had helped me grow. I'm not angry anymore. I'm definitely not violent anymore. Just please give me a chance. As soon as something goes wrong or you don't trust me you can leave. Please let me hold you again."

Whizzer just smiled. He wrapped his arm around Marvin and pulled him closer. He rubbed Marvin's arm and rested his head on top of Marvin's.

"Okay."

Now it was Marvin's turn to smile "Good job I did follow you."

"Yeah why were you following me. Isn't it just weird."

"So was the guy with the axe that was running behind us. Rather me be here than him really"

"Marvin, was this man wearing green and yellow by any chance." Whizzer asked and Marvin nodded his head "look outside..."
