Marvin never used to be the person that noticed thing. If it wasn't to do with him, he wouldn't even bat an eyelid. He stayed in his own little bubble. But that all changed after he lived Whizzer out. It was at that moment, when he lost something that he held close to his heart, that he needed to change his ways.

Marvin began to notice when Trina was stressed about her relationships with her family and friends. He took notice of when Mendel wasn't feeling great when his most recent patient had gone. He saw how Jason's would talk less when he was stressed about school or baseball. He took note of how Cordelia would acted depending on how much she was proud of her cooking. He noticed how Charlotte would talk faster if she had a tougher day at work. If it wasn't for him changing, Whizzer might never of come back to him.

For the few days, Whizzer didn't seem to be himself. He was in a slump. Marvin didn't understand why his lover was so depressed all of a sudden. He looks for answers, but never found one. While the days ticked away, Whizzer left the house less. They went to see a doctor, but there was nothing wrong with him physically. Marvin needed to find something that would make Whizzer smile.

He looked through their closet, all his clothes were fine. He didn't need any skin or hair products. His car was in good condition. Their cat was healthy. Marvin checked the calendar to see if the answer was on there. The date was crossed out in read pen and was replaced with a note saying 'Just another day' Mother's Day was soon.

A/N I don't think there is any information on Whizzer's family life so I'm going to make it up.

Marvin remembered Whizzer telling him about his family. His father died when Whizzer was 6 so his only parent was his mother. But when Whizzer came out as gay, he was chucked out the house at 16. The pair hadn't spoke since.

This is it Marvin thought He misses his mom.

He racked his brain until he remembered what her name was. Marvin ran to the phone book and began to flick through.

"Please still live in New York" Marvin muttered. Much to his relief, she did. He looked around the house to make sure Whizzer was out. Thankfully, he was with Cordelia. He dialled the number.

Today was the day. Whizzer groaned as he woken up. Marvin kept shaking him until the latter fully opened his eyes.

"What do you want Marvin?" Whizzer snapped.

"Get dressed. I have a surprise. Meet me downstairs in ten!" Marvin smiled and ran out of their room.

Whizzer laughed at the older ones excitement. If anyone could make him smile today, it would be Marvin. Just as Marvin had requested, Whizzer was dress and downstairs in 10 minuets.

"I noticed that you have been sad these past few days." Marvin said.

"Wow Marvin, aren't you observant!" Whizzer snapped again. "Sorry, I don't mean to snap at you."

"I know. I noticed why you've not been yourself too." Marvin smiled as he held his partners hands.

"You have?" Whizzer asked surprised. "You never notice anything"

"Correction. I never used to notice anything. But when you left, I knew I had to change. I just lost the most important man in my life." Marvin answered "But anyway I looked at the calendar and saw that Mother's Day was approaching."

Whizzer's face dropped. "Please don't remind me." Tears began to form in his eyes "I have no mom. I don't really want to talk about it in depth."

"Whiz, you do have a mom. I called her and..."

"You what!"

"I called her. I explained everything to her that I know. And she was genuinely upset. She really misses you. So I did what every respectable boyfriend would do." Marvin grabbed Whizzer shoulders and span him round.

"Mom..." Whizzer gasped.

"I'm so sorry my son. I shouldn't have done what I did. I was just scared and confused and I didn't know how to react. Please forgive me." His mom begged.

Whizzer didn't say a word. He just smiled. He walk over to her and wrapped his arms around her. She did the same and he buried his head on her shoulder.

Marvin smiled at the sight. He smiled at himself too. Not in a selfish way. And not in a way to distract the two from each other. He smiled to himself because he was a changed man. And he noticed something that made the man he loved happy. And nothing could ever make him unhappy when it came to Whizzer.
