This takes place before the kidnapping incident.

"Why do I have to take Thing One and Thing Two to school? I don't even want to talk the teacher! It gives me flashbacks of my own high school experience and that's something I do not want to remember," groaned Chaehyun as Taeyong thrusted the black hoodie into his hands with a stern face.

"Jisung's teacher needs to talk to an adult and you're an adult. I have to be in the studio early, you don't. Come on, Lachlan. Do this for me just this once, I don't ask for much from you and besides, if I sent Ten he'd probably forget what the teacher said! But please actually take them to school, I know you're the type of person to just let them have the day off and I cannot let that happen," pleaded Taeyong.

"Why can't Jisung's parents take him?"

"Working," Taeyong replied bluntly.

Chaehyun sighed in defeat and tugged the hoodie over his head with an unamused look. Taeyong smiled in satisfaction and patted Chaehyun's head as he passed him. Rubbing the sleep out of his eyes and grabbed his keys before heading out to the Dreamie's dorm where Chenle and Jisung were located.

Pushing the door open, he found the two youngest eating their breakfast, all dressed and ready to attend school. They both snickered at the scowl on the older boys face causing Chaehyun to mumble a few profanities under his breath.

"Come on, we gotta go. I have a meeting with Jisung's teacher in like...now. So let's go." The two boys groaned and pushed themselves up off of the stools, leaving their empty bowls on the counter. Chaehyun gently pushed Jisung forward with his hand against the back of his head before closing the door behind him.

The two boys didn't mind school, but the early mornings were definitely not their favourite. Seated in the back of Chaehyun's car – because he wouldn't let them sit in the front – the two boys watched YouTube videos on Jisung's phone whilst Chaehyun murmured along to the radio.

"Are you excited?" Chaehyun grimaced as the words fell from his mouth. He hated that he sounded like a parent. The two boys giggled in the back, seeing their Hyung's face in the rearview mirror. "Of course you're not, it's school, you know I could always turn this car around and—"

"Hyung, you'd be in so much trouble. Besides, school is important." Jisung shrugged.

Chaehyun rolled his eyes. "Nerd."

"Just because you hardly turned up for school doesn't mean we should," Jisung fires back with a smirk causing Chaehyun to scream dramatically and hold onto his chest.

It was true though, Chaehyun had quite the reputation for not showing up to school and ditching.

"I would never let you skip school anyway, I don't want you to end up the way I did, in lot of trouble. I was smart enough to makeup for the days I missed...you two don't have that factor."

The two boys began to protest in the back and Chaehyun smiled to himself as he pulled up at the school. That would teach them not to roast him, especially whilst he's tired.

"Mr Kim, it's a pleasure to meet you. Jisung's parents did call to let me know that you would be coming or well, at least one of Jisung's members. I'm Miss Jung." The lady held her hand out with a dazzling smile and Chaehyun slid his larger one into hers and shook it.

In all honesty, Chaehyun didn't think it was legal for him to step in for the parents since he wasn't family, but he appeared to be proven wrong. The pair took a seat, Chaehyun bit his lip nervously.

"Jisung is doing exceptionally well in his classes and his behaviour, attitude is extremely positive towards learning. We know how busy he is with being an idol now but he has managed to keep his grades up and we thought this was something that needed to be praised." Chaehyun's mouth opened, creating an 'o' shape.

A sense of pride ran through him and a smile managed to form on his lips, Miss Jung slid one of Jisung's pieces of work towards him and Chaehyun's deep brown eyes scanned over the work written by the younger boy who he considered a baby brother. Taeyong was going to be so proud, everyone was.

"Jisung has always been very quiet so it's lovely to see such progress from him. Chenle too! They both have been doing exceptionally well and it's just something that we thought you deserved to know. Usually, we only speak to the parents but  since it's something so positive we couldn't hold back. Jisung talks a lot about you."

Chaehyun raised his brows. "He does?"

"You're Chaehyun? Lachlan? He speaks so highly of all of you guys but I have heard much about you, Mr Kim. Jisung is proud to have him in your life and judging by the proud look in your eyes, I presume you feel the same."

Chaehyun nodded. "All of members are  brothers to me. And I am so grateful for every one of them. Hearing things like this just makes me proud. Jisung rarely ever speaks of his achievements regarding school."

Miss Jung nodded with another smile and Chaehyun couldn't help but feel slightly attracted to her.

"Well, we're glad he has such a good support system at home."

Leaving the school, Chaehyun wore a smile and you better believe that once the news broke of not only Jisung's success in school but Chenle's too, the two Maknae's were in for some praising when they returned home.
