"Maybe I should like kick the door down? Add the dramatic effect."

Lucas raised an eyebrow as he threw his hands against his hips, leaning his head back slightly with a weird glance. The two were standing outside of Hanra's bedroom door yet to enter. Chaehyun was inches away from backing out, he was doing his best at stalling the situation. Upon seeing the look on Lucas' face, Chaehyun sighed and ran a hand through his hair.

"You know, maybe this is a bad idea. Let's just go." He tried to rush past Lucas, but the younger boy simply grabbed onto him as he blocked his path. Chaehyun tried to get past but Lucas refused to result in the two of them having a mini fight. The door handle to Hanra's room jiggled Chaehyun shared a panicked look and without thinking, jumped on top of him. The door opened and the first thing Chaehyun saw was Hanra's best friend...and the first thing Hanra's best friend saw was Chaehyun's legs wrapped around Lucas with his hands on his shoulders and wide eyes.

"Uh..Ra...I think your brother and his....friend, are here to see you." She glanced between the two awkwardly.

Chaehyun smiled and gave her a small wave. "How much will it cost to have this image out of your brain permanently?" He asked as Hanra made her way to the door. She furrowed her eyebrows at the pair, who were still in that position. The duo quickly realized and Chaehyun jumped out of Lucas' arms. The older boy laughed awkwardly as he scratched the back of his head.

This was not how he envisioned this going.

Minutes later, Lucas was sprawled out on the bean bag in the corner of Hanra's room, whilst Chaehyun paced up and down as Hanra laid back on her bed with a bored expression. There was a twinge of guilt in her eyes, but she managed to mask it with the blank stare. In all honesty, she didn't actually know that Chaehyun knew about her plans. Her eyes travelled to Lucas who was sending her a subtle glare.

"Can someone explain to me what's going--"

"You know what, if he won't then I'll gladly tell you." Lucas lifted himself up off the beanbag, startling the siblings. Chaehyun looked like he was about to protest, but swiftly closed his mouth when he saw the look in Lucas' eyes. "What game are you playing Hanra? Everyone had tiptoe around you for too long but you've crossed the line. Why the hell are you trying to ruin your brother's life? That man has been through hell and back for you alone and this is how you repay him!?"

Hanra's eyes widened. "E-excuse me?"

"Yeri told us everything. Stop playing dumb and spill the beans Hanra, I'm getting sick of this." Chaehyun's voice was small but harsh and it shocked Hanra further. Chaehyun wasn't letting her get away with it this time, he was done being lenient and Hanra didn't like that. She didn't like it one bit.

"Fine... I was angry. You tore my parents away from me--"

"No. I protected you from them. Do you really think Dad means what he said when he told you that you two could start a new life together? How naive are you? Don't be stupid Hanra, he doesn't care about you and he never has. I didn't take all that shit for you just so you could come and kick me in the teeth to repay me. That man you want to start a new life with is the same that man was screaming at the top of his lungs about how you were the biggest mistake of his life. That same man was the one that attempted to hurt you so many times but guess who took it for you. Me. Years worth of pain just so you could get away without a scratch." Chaehyun was getting angrier and angrier. "I protected you for years! I practically raised you and this. This is how you thank me? You sell out my past to the press, threaten me with your so-called 'revenge' and then you still have the audacity to sit there and act hard done by? You're not a child, Hanra grow the hell up!"

"What the hell is going on in h--Chaehyun? Lucas? When did you two get here?" Chaehyun's grandmother entered the bedroom followed by Daeyoon. He nodded at his brother as Hanra jumped up, her eyes were glossed over with tears. She ran and grabbed onto Daeyoon, who did nothing but stand there with a cold, hard expression on his face. "What is happening?"

Daeyoon stepped away from Hanra and moved so that he was inbetween Chaehyun and Lucas. "Why don't you ask Hanra what she's been planning in her free time."

Chaehyun turned to look at the ground, the tears in her eyes were too much for him. He knew that if he continued to look at her, he'd fall into her trap because no matter how much she hurt him, Chaehyun loved her too much to see her in pain. Even after everything, the feeling of wanting to take her hurt and suffer for her was still there. Because he loves her, she's his baby sister and in his eyes, she could do no wrong.

When Hanra stayed silent, Lucas let out a laugh. One of pure frustration. Chaehyun hadn't ever seen Lucas get this angry before. It was almost like he was getting protective.

"Long story short, your granddaughter has tried to ruin Chaehyun's career. Promised to get revenge for her parents before she skips off into the sunset with her deadbeat dad. Right Hanra?" All eyes turned to the girl in the corner who was hiding her face in her hands.

Chaehyun's grandmother looked almost distraught. The older woman leaned up and cupped Chaehyun's face and her touch alone was enough for him to break. She sighed pitifully and took him in her arms, he sobbed against her shoulder. Chaehyun was starting to get sick of all this crying, but hey, that's what happens when you hold everything in for so long. The jar had overflowed and he couldn't bottle any more emotions up.

"You happy now Hanra? You got what you wanted. You broke the main person that was there to protect you, love you and provided for you for so many years. Look at him, Hanra. Look at what you've done." Daeyoon's voice boomed throughout the room startling pretty much everyone. "I hope it was worth it. Because if you want to start a new life with Dad so much then why don't you go live with him--oh wait, you can't because you don't know where he is! Because he only needs you when it's convenient for him! You just backstabbed the person that loved you more than life itself."

With that, Daeyoon left an assuring pat on Chaehyun's back before he stomped out of the bedroom. If Hanra hadn't regretted her decision then, she certainly did now.

Hours later, Chaehyun was curled up in Lucas' lap on his grandmother's couch as an old rerun of a drama played on the tv. Lucas' hands threaded through the freshly dyed black strands of Chaehyun's hair as he let out soft, peaceful breaths. The tears on his cheeks had dried long ago. Lucas glanced down at him with a soft smile. When Chaehyun was sleeping, he looked so...soft. Almost happy, like he wasn't dealing with the worst situations. It always amazed Lucas just how gentle Chaehyun looked whenever he slept.

Leaning down, Lucas pressed two gentle kisses against Chaehyun's temple before admiring him. Things weren't perfect and they wouldn't be for a while, but Lucas was content with the boy in his lap and he was willing to do whatever he had to do to make sure that things started looking up soon.

Wanna know how long this took? 3 hours. Because I kept rewriting it and im still not 100% happy but its the best draft I've done for this chapter. I genuinely got angry at Hanra 😂 I felt the anger whilst writing the paragraph of everyone yelling at her.

Also, I just wanna take a moment to appreciate you guys. Like, I don't think you realize how much your lovely comments and just support in general means to me. You are all genuinely such amazing people and you deserve to know that. Thank you for the continuous support, I love you guys ♡

Thank you so much for reading, this wasn't proofread but I hope you enjoyed it anyway  despite the mistakes.
