Chaehyun treating Eleven better than most Humans/like royalty moments
It's no secret that Chaehyun's dog is his pride and joy, so it's not exactly a surprise that he treats her like royalty either.
Moment One
Leaving her behind.
"Are you sure she's going to be comfortable?"
It was the night before NCT left Korea for America and Eleven, of course, couldn't tag along because she's a dog, leaving Chaehyun no choice but to put her in the care of his grandmother. He trusted his guardian more than anything, but Eleven was his baby and he wanted to be extra cautious about everything. He clutched the dog close to him, holding her gently enough to not hurt her but did keep a firm grip as if she'd vanish if he let her go.
Daeyoon scoffed and stood up, cup in hand as he headed towards the kitchen mumbling under his breath. "That boy and his goddamn love for his puppy."
"Hey! Her name is Eleven!"
"Chaehyun, darling. You don't need to worry. We've had dogs, we know how to take care of them. Now chill and give me the dog," Chaehyun pecked the top of the dog's head multiple times, before reluctantly handing the dog over to his grandmother. When his pup was safely in the elder woman's arms, Chaehyun let out a dramatic cry, falling into Mark's arm and wailing. Mark glanced down at him, mildly concerned but kept his mouth closed.
"As weird as that was, we'll be going now. Bye Mrs Kim, love you!" Called Johnny side hugging the woman before high fiving Chaehyun's grandfather. The members followed suit, bidding their goodbyes as they left the house. Chaehyun said goodbye to his family before giving some extra cuddles to his dog.
In the end, Mark had to literally drag him out of the house.
Moment Two
Morning Kisses
"I am...disgusted."
It was 6:09 am and the NCT dorms were now awake and full of life as the boys were now waking up. Chaehyun laid on the soft mattress, under a bundle of blankets with Eleven seated on his chest, her tongue swiping across his chin in a fast motion. Chaehyun was a giggling mess, lifting his hand up to block the kisses from the pup, but to no avail. Having enough of her owners rejection, Eleven got to her feet, now standing on top of Chaehyun's chest and licked all over his face.
"E-Eleven, st-stop!" Laughed the older boy.
Mark propped himself up on his elbows, lips turned into a disgusted smile but he couldn't deny that the sight of his member's smile warmed his heart. Mark pushed the duvet off of his body and swung his legs over the left side of his bed, he lifted his weight onto his feet and padded towards the door, passing Chaehyun's bed, he reached over to scratch Eleven's head. Mark's hand curled around the doorknob, pulling open the door allowing it to squeak as he headed out the room, leaving the boy and his dog to go back to their morning kisses.
Moment Three
The life of luxury
"I saw it on Pinterest and Eleven needs to sleep in comfort. Come on, Hyung! Let me build her what she deserves. Look at this little face." Chaehyun lifted the dog up beside him, a pout on his lips as he put on a baby voice for the last sentence. Eleven glanced around, almost looking done with pretty much everything.
Taeyong bit his lip. He had a real puppy staring at him with such innocence and then her owner giving him the puppy dog eyes which he knows will work. He didn't want to give in, he would've much rather had Chaehyun resting on their day off rather than spending the whole day building his dog a bed, but alas, Taeyong couldn't reject the pair and ten minutes later, he was in the back of Chaehyun's car with Jaehyun and Johnny, heading to Ikea.
"I cannot believe you're making us drive all the way to Ikea just so you can build a bed for your dog. She's a dog and still lives a better life than I do." Johnny laughed and folded his arms.
"When we said that you needed to be one to look after the dog, we didn't actually think you would take it so seriously," murmured Taeyong.
That's right. When Chaehyun first expressed his want for a puppy, the boys had said that he had to be the one to take care of it and at first, they doubted Chaehyun would take it so seriously, but Eleven was well taken care of by her owner. The boys, of course, do help out a little bit like taking her out for walks or feeding her and playing with her when Chaehyun is busy, but the poop cleaning...yeah that's Chaehyun's job.
After a short trip to Ikea, Chaehyun spent the next two days building a little corner for Eleven to sleep and play in.
