"Hmm. Where's Kacchan?"

The two girls stopped their giggling. They now remembered they were in the midst of a band crisis. The two stared at one another and then back at the questioning boy who gripped tightly to a blanket in worry. The change in mood was too obvious that even the tired Izuku to notice.

"Is he alright?" His voice quivered, but only slightly.

Mina and Jirou couldn't help but recall all the fighting and yelling. It got really bad and it wasn't exactly entirely out of the question that the conflict had escalated. Neither was sure whether Izuku had ever seen Katsuki in such a state. The last thing they wanted to do was show him a scare him, ruining something that made the two happy in the process.

"Bonding exercises. I saw to it that they did some bonding exercises. The chemistry between the three was a little shaky...and Mina needed a bit more help with her part-" Jirou was quick on her feet to come up with something, "-The song really needs a solid baseline to highlight the guitar and Bakugou kinda holds the whole thing together. They were a bit er...shaky and since Mina and I have little duets here and there that basically make up the entire song we thought it was best to practice...separately for a bit."

Izuku's ears perked up at the mention of his blondie and he smiled sweetly. No one could deny the glare of excitement in his eyes as he leaned forward towards the two girls. "How's Kacchan doing? Did he blow you away with his natural skill and quick learning? Can I go see him?"

"No!-" Izuku jumped back at Mina's sudden outburst. Jirou elbowed her and muttered for her to be more subtle under her breath. The rather cliche exchange obviously did not go unnoticed by Izuku wide and questioning eyes. Izuku's eyebrows knotted.

"Is something wrong? Are you sure he's okay?"

"What she meant in no means to alarm you- is that you need to rest! You need to rest so that when practice ends you'll be all refreshed for you guys to have some quality time with one another!" Jirou felt like she was on a roll, but lying to the quote on quote 'pure smol boy' did make her feel kinda shitty. But it was better than breaking his heart! The two didn't know the current state the basement was in and they'd rather not have let Izuku see what may be Katsuki's worst.

Those are never good for relationships.

"Can I please go see him-"

Izuku's phone buzzed and rang under his hand. Upon seeing the screen being taken over by his most prized technological treasure that was a picture of his boyfriend, he smiled. The picture was of his boyfriend. He wore with a playful smirk across his face and occupied his hands with a bag of fun-onion chips. When Izuku attempted to take this picture without the blonde noticing he was caught immediately and given said smirk instead, followed by a tackle and an entire bag of chip crumbs ruining Katsuki's comforter.

He rolled his eyes at the caller id, 'king explodo murderer,' it read with random capitalizations and explosion emoticons. He had left his phone unlocked far too many times; needless to say, Izuku had it coming. He pressed the green button, dragging the treasured picture away in the process.

"Kacchan! How's practice going? Are you having fun? Is my boyfriend a hot drummer boy now?" He joked, smiling like an idiot. Izuku talked as quickly as he could, impatient as ever to hear his boyfriend's lovely voice.

"Hey, can you call the girls down here? And get your things ready we're gonna leave, Deku."

"Deku? Kacchan what's-"

"wrong?" He finished after the beep that signified the end of the 7-second call.

"Deku..." the boy muttered under his breath. He thought his boyfriend said they were on a first name basis. Was the 'Kacchan' name pushing it? Maybe the blonde didn't like it anymore. His thought began to wonder...he probably sounded annoying as hell using the childish pet name every chance he would get. It was obvious the blonde had outgrown the nickname and Izuku clung onto the namesake when he shouldn't. Deku. Was that his way of telling him to watch it? Not to mention the poison in his voice. He felt like he did something wrong. The tone of his voice sounded all too familiar and he couldn't help butthink the worst.
