Chapter 23: The Other Half

[Donghae POV]

I left early in our dorm today for the filming again of our drama here. While we are on our way to our next location, I opened my instagram and Twitter account, it's been a long time since I update it, and there I saw a tweet from Leeteuk Hyung. There was a picture of some of the members eating in our favorite shabu-shabu restaurant in Seoul with a caption

"Just chillin here a bit with the boys, we miss you @donghae861015 come back soon arasso?"

I was touched as I read its caption, they really do miss me, and I just realized that I've been away from Seoul for almost 2 months already. But I think I'm not ready yet to go back home.

The whole filming lasted for almost 4 hours and then we had our lunch break. I return back to my tent to change my clothes then I came back, all the other staff and crew are gathering around grabbing their own lunch and I was surprised to what I saw in the crowd of people. It was Lei, this time I was hesitant if this is really her or I'm just imagining things again. I approached her and said.

"Hey Lei, what you doing here?" I tried to act cool so that she would realize that I am fine now.

"oh! It's you again mister, again, I'm not Lei" she said as she smiled and handed me a bento box. This time, I was really sure that there is someone out there that is who really like her.

"I'm sorry, I thought my eyes are deceiving me again, what is your name by the way?"

"I'm Heather. Heather Chiu" she smilingly said, they also have the same smile, a smile that could melt my heart away. She was a Taiwanese, but she doesn't look like one.

"nice to meet you Heather, I'm donghae" I said as I offered my hand to her.

"nice to meet you too, oh! I have to go, goodluck on your filming!" she said as she waved goodbye to me.

I can't take the smile away from my face, those smile has a different impact in my life, just like in Lei. Before I daydream here, I ate my lunch and proceed back to the location.

[Leyvine POV]

I was with Ryeowook, Yesung and Sungmin today since the others have their individual schedule and Kyuhyun has a recording today for an OST. It's been two months since Donghae left to film his drama in Taiwan; the other members miss him already, most especially his best friend Eunhyuk. We were watching their past performance in the flat screen when someone knocked on the door.

"I get it." Ryeowook said

He opened the door and talked to someone, after a few seconds he returned back with an envelope on his hand.

"Lei it's a letter for you" he said as he handed me the envelope.

I decide to open the letter inside my room so I left for awhile them in the living room and went to my room, as I sited on the edge of my bed as I read the letter.

After I read it, I folded it and put it back to the envelope.

"I think it's about time, but I'm not ready yet." This is the only words that I said to myself as I lay down to my bed and stared at the ceiling hoping that all things is just a dream.

[Donghae POV]

Since today is the last day of our filming, I gave my best on this. I was happy since this drama became an outlet of all of my emotions. Why? Well, let's just say that I'm somehow can relate to the story line of the drama. Its about a girl who fell in love with a boy but the boy's best friend is also in love with the same girl and at the end, the boy gave way to his best friend and as time goes by, the boy happened to find his true love in the presence of the other girl and they all lived happily ever after, nice story right? Hehe.

After the filming, the other staffs planned to celebrate the success of the drama, but I didn't go with them, instead I drove back to the dorms. I was near the dorms as I noticed someone in the park, lying on the grass beside a tree and looking up in the sky. I parked my car and went towards her.

It was Heather, her eyes were closed, why is she sleeping here? It could be dangerous so I decided to wake her up. First attempt: failed, second attempt: failed, then I decide to shake her hard this time. Then slowly, she opened her eyes, it was really beautiful.

"Oh! Mr. Donghae, what are you doing here?" she asked, then I realized there was an earphone in his ears, now I know why she didn't wake up awhile ago.

"you should not be sleeping in this place, it could be dangerous you know." I said as I sit beside her.

"oh really? I just didn't realize that I slept already here." She said as she get up and sit down beside me.

"so why are you here?" I asked.

"I was looking on the stars, aren't they beautiful." She said as she point out the night sky.

It was then I just realize that there are a lot of stars that night, nice timing huh?

"Yeah! They are beautiful." I said, as I admire also the wonderful sky that night.

"So why are looking at the stars? Are you fond of astronomy and constellations?"

She was quiet for awhile as she still stares at the night sky,

"you may find it weird, actually I find it weird, but, every time I look at the night sky, I felt that I was in a different world, far from the reality that I am living right now. It was like a dream come true." She said and I could see the sadness in her face while telling this to me.

That moment, I felt that there is something wrong in her, I mean, she is hiding a deep sorrow in her heart and it could be shown on her beautiful face.           

I didn't bother to ask her further but instead, I move her head towards my shoulders causing her to lean a little. She was surprised on my action, but that time, all I want was to comfort her.

"Just stay there, I may not know what you are carrying right now, but at least, for this time, lean on me and let go of the entire burden." I said.

 Actually I didn't know why I said those things to her, but I feel that there something in me that tell me to protect her, to comfort her. I know it's weird to feel like this since we just met awhile ago. It was like I was attracted to her that time. But maybe this is because she looked like Lei, but I saw her different now, I mean I could feel that there is something special in her.

After we had our stargazing moment, I noticed that it was already getting late so decided to accompany him going to her home. It was a good thing that her apartment was just a walk away to the park.

"Thank you so much Mr. Donghae for accompanying me going to my home."

"your welcome, so ill see you soon okay?" I said and she nodded as I bid goodbye to her.

I went back to the dorms and I saw Zhoumi and Henry fell asleep in the living room and the TV is still ON. I got to the storage room and get a blanket and I put it to them as I went to my room and go to my dreamland, will I still she her in my dreams?. I closed my eyes, and go see it for myself.
