His Girl

I looked at my phone, not surprised to see that it  was only a minute later than it had been when I'd stuck it in my pocket and opened the door to leave. Time had been frozen again.

~♡~

I had to agree, telling Taehyung why I was here seemed to be the right thing to do. I would, because it would help him in the end. The question was...when? I still had my doubts that he would actually believe me. Would I believe someone if they told me the same?

I didn't want to think about it at the moment. Honestly, I just wanted to go to work, and see Tae. I was upset with myself for falling asleep and not waking up when the power came back on, or when Tae had gotten up and eventually left.

I grabbed the doorknob, opening the door and stepping out into the hallway, sighing before closing it behind me and walking to the elevator.

I exited the building, walking down two doors to enter and make my way to the elevator so I could report to the 9th floor. I'd only taken 3 steps when someone called out to me.

"Miss Laney..."

I turned to see the lady that sits at the desk in the lobby, a receptionist I assumed, waving me over. I didn't know she knew my name.

"Yes?"

"Sejin-nim asked me to give you this when you arrived today." She handed me a card, and I realized that it was to get into our area of the 9th floor. I'd forgotten that I couldn't get in without that door being unlocked.

"Thank you."

She nodded, and I turned to walk to the elevators, ready to start my day. I realized that I was actually starting to enjoy my job, and looking forward to being here. Everyone was so nice, and it had been a very pleasant experience so far. Too bad it was only temporary.

I rode the elevator to the 9th floor, getting off and swiping my new card in the reader outside the door. It clicked, and I pulled on the handle, letting myself into the large main room. I had no idea what today might bring. I knew they had pretty much everything figured out for the award shows they were attending, so I assumed maybe they would just be practicing choreography.

I went into the room where we colored the boys hair, and straightened up my area a bit. I saw a hamper of clean towels, so I busied myself folding them, and placing them on the shelf over the sinks.

Twenty five minutes to eight, I imagined the others would be getting here anytime. I sat on the couch to wait, and ended up letting my mind wander. It took me right back to yesterday, to the kiss I'd shared with Taehyung. It was magical, and I hoped that there would be others just like it.

I got up, deciding to go to the lounge. I still couldn't buy anything, but maybe one of the others had arrived, and they'd gone there instead. I really wasn't sure where I should be, but I was here, and that was the main thing.

I made my way to the lounge, walking in and spotting Jin standing in front of one of the vending machines. He heard the door close, and turned to me, smiling widely.

"Good morning Laney. You're bright and early."

"Actually, I've been here since about 7:00."

He made a face. "You like it here so much you got here an hour early?"

I laughed. "I woke up early, and was bored, so I decided to just come in to work."

"Ah, that's right, the power was out last night. I'm guessing you had nothing else to do so you went to bed early."

"Pretty much."

"Well did you enjoy your day off anyway? At least up until the storm started?"

"I did. Taehyung took me to a nice restaurant, and we ate and talked for awhile, and then we went to the park. Unfortunately, we weren't there long before it started to rain. But it was still a nice day. I enjoyed it very much."
