Change of heart

"I'll leave you to your evening, Namjoon. Don't stress out about this too much. It is what it is. We can't change it, and worrying about it won't help. Just let it happen as it will. That's all any of us can do, really."

DELANEY'S POV

Tae looked at his phone, and I knew he was contemplating what to say next.

"Tae, why not just leave it alone? He said he was sorry."

"I know, but I asked him not to say anything to any of the others. Yet, I have a feeling he did, and that they gave him a hard time, which is why he seems to have changed his mind."

"Well, isn't that a good thing?"

"I just don't want all of them knowing about your wish. I don't want them to treat you differently, and I know them. Trust me, they will, even if they don't mean to."

I kind of couldn't blame them if they did. I couldn't imagine how I'd feel in their shoes.

"It's okay Tae, I would understand if they did. This whole situation is...mind blowing. Put yourself in their shoes, how would you feel if it was Jimin I'd wished to be close to, and you had to watch him go thru this."

He closed his eyes. "Okay," he sighed. "I guess I can understand when you put it that way."

I rested my head on his shoulder again, wondering if they all really did know now. It didn't matter though. Spending time with Tae, soaking up all the happiness I could was the most important thing, and that's what I wanted to concentrate on doing.

I was glad to see that his tears had dried, even though he still looked sad. I didn't know how to make that sadness go away. I felt it too. I just refused to let it take over and ruin the happiness I was feeling at having him next to me.

"I still want to ask Jimin why the change of heart, simply because I'm curious if he told any of the others."

"Do you think he'll tell you?"

"I don't know. I think it depends on who he ended up talking to."

"Well if you want to ask him that bad, then what are you waiting for?"

He frowned, then started typing, and I again watched his beautiful fingers move as the words appeared on the screen.

Jimin, I know you were against me spending time with Delaney, so why the sudden change? What happened?

                                              8:37pm

A few minutes went by, and there was no reply.

"I'm guessing he doesn't want to tell me." He pouted.

"Maybe he put his phone down and stepped away from it."

He snorted. "Jimin never puts his phone down. He got my message. He's choosing not to reply. Which makes me feel like he definitely told at least one of the others, and they gave him a hard time for telling me to stay away from you."

"Well, it's not important anyway. Who cares if they all know. It doesn't change anything. I'm here, and I'm not going anywhere just yet, so they're going to have to get used to it."

There was that sadness taking over his expression again. "Don't talk about going anywhere. I don't wanna think about it."

I snuggled up to him, and pressed my lips to his neck to try and distract him, glad when I heard him sigh contentedly. It wasn't that late yet, and besides, we didn't have anything we had to wake up early for, so who cares if it is late. I wanted to kiss this gorgeous man everywhere, I wanted to let my lips taste every inch of his body, and that was exactly what I was going to do.
