The last thing I remember is wiping the tears from his face, gazing into his sleepy eyes, and trying with everything in me to keep my eyes opened for just a little bit longer, as I saw his flutter closed, open, then close again, remaining closed.

I moved my head a bit, coming awake slowly, my neck feeling stiff. I yawned, tilting my head forward to stretch the muscles in the back of my neck some.

I started to straighten my legs, only to have my feet bump into something, keeping me from doing so. The seconds ticked by, as realization started to sink in. I slowly opened my eyes, letting them move around the room, and I felt the burning sensation in my sinuses.

I was hugging Tata, lying on my side on my loveseat, in my room, my happy place. Exactly how I'd laid down that night 30 days ago.

My eyes moved to the wall, to the large tapestry of Taehyung, and I tried to hold back a sob.

I squeezed Tata tighter, pulling him to my face so I could try to muffle the cries that I couldn't control. My body shook, my heart ached, and I cried so hard I was sure Jason would hear me.

But no one came in, and eventually, I calmed down enough to sit up, the cries turning into a series of hiccups. I wiped my face with my sleeve, realizing I was wearing exactly what I had been wearing the last night I'd fallen asleep here.

I looked up at Taehyungs beautiful bigger than life face hanging on my wall, all our time together flooding my memory. It was all I had now. What if it really had all just been a dream.

The tears filled my eyes again, and I reached up to wipe them away, my hoodie sleeve falling a bit. It was then that I noticed the charm bracelet on my wrist. The one Tae had gotten me with the charms relevant to Korea, and the diamond and pearl V.

I stared at it for a solid minute, my index finger reaching up to touch the silver V, watching it wiggle as it dangled from the middle of the chain, the diamonds sparkling as they caught the light. It was really there, on my wrist. I wasn't imagining it.

It had all been real.

I sat up, stiff from sleeping on the loveseat, trying to work the kinks out of my muscles. Suddenly, I reached into my hoodie pocket, finding my phone, and pulling it out.

I opened my contacts, and everyone was there. Everyone that hadn't been there during my wish was back. I scrolled thru, getting to the T's, but it wasn't there. Tae's number was gone. I didn't really expect it to be there, but I had to look.

I heard a noise, and looked up to see the door opening, Jason peeking into the room.

"Delaney, are you in here?"

I huffed out a breath thru my nose, not really wanting to see him right now.

The door opened a bit more, and finally he was able to see me, sitting on the loveseat, probably not looking too happy to see him.

"Laney, thank God, I thought you weren't here."

"Why would you care?" I asked emotionlessly.

I looked up in time to see him swallow, and I noticed that he was wringing his hands together. I raised my eyebrows at him.

"Laney, I...uh..."

He faltered, taking a breath. I was baffled, wondering where the pompous, arrogant Jason had gone. I sat there, watching him, in disbelief that this could be my husband.

"I had a dream, Laney...that you left me. It felt so real. It scared the shit out of me."

I looked at him, not really feeling anything at his admission.
