"I don't think that's such a good idea, Taehyung. I know you, and you're going to get way more attached to her than you intend to, and end up way more hurt when her time is up and you have to let her go. Besides, don't you think having all those memories will only make her more sad every time she thinks of them, and remembers that memories are all she has?"

There was a loud knock on my door, and I jumped, having dozed off sitting on the couch. I got up groggily, stumbling to the door, and opening it without a thought as to the fact that it could be anyone standing on the other side.
But it wasn't just anyone. It was Taehyung. He looked at me, seeming slightly agitated, before taking me by the shoulders and setting me back a step as he came in the door, closing it behind him.
"You left without saying goodbye again."
I yawned, walking back over to the couch and sitting down, grabbing my soda.
"I looked for you. I even asked Suga if he'd seen you, and he said he hadn't, and that maybe you'd left already, so I just came home. I thought maybe you were tired and just left right from the car."
His face softened a little, and I wondered if he was mad because I left, or if it was something else.
"I was talking to Jimin. Sorry, we kind of went off by ourselves so we wouldn't be bothered."
"Oh, is everything okay with Jimin?"
"Jimin's fine. I'm the one that wanted to talk."
"...Oh"
"Delaney...I don't know how to..." he took a breath, "I don't know what to do. I'm confused now more than I was before. I thought talking to someone, talking to my best friend, would make me feel better about everything. But it ended up just making me more confused."
I furrowed my brows, frowning.
"I assume you're referring to me..." I wasn't really surprised that he had felt the need to talk to someone. It's not like he meets someone every day who was only there because they'd made a wish and it had been granted.
"I told Jimin everything...about you. He didn't believe me at first." He made a face. "I can't say that I blame him. But I still got upset, and told him not to worry about it."
He shuffled his feet, then came over to the couch, sitting down next to me.
"I got up to leave, because I wasn't going to keep trying to make him believe me, but before I was able to walk out, he stopped me, and said that he believed me. He also said that it's crazy."
Now it was my turn to make a face. "He's not wrong."
He looked at me, the expression on his face serious, while at the same time, perplexed.
"Jimin brought up a good point." He nodded, looking everywhere but at me. "He said that if I spend the rest of your time here doing what I can to give you the best memories you could possibly have, that It will only be worse for you later, when you aren't here anymore. He said those memories will only make you sad, because they are all you'll have."
I swallowed. I disagreed, so much did I disagree. Those memories would probably be the only thing that kept me from losing my mind completely, unless my life did a whole 360 turn-around, which I highly doubted would happen.
"Delaney, I think I should leave you alone, for the rest of your time here. Maybe you could switch with one of the other girls, and be a stylist to one of the other guys until your time is up."
